I'm a new customer and have been twice. 1st time I noticed all the regulars received special treatment and I was rushed through but went back because of good food.
2nd time ordered a meal deal. I asked the coffee girl what drinks are included in meal deal and she said "every on that shelf " so I grabbed an Iced coffee instead of standard soft drink. I got chased out of the store acusaused of stealing this was so embarrassing on my behalf when I felt like I did the right thing to ask.
He said you need to grab a soft drink when I offered to pay the difference for the upgrade it wasn't an option so I walked out with a drink I didn't even want.
For $1 difference this was all a bit over the top and won't he returning or recommending to anyone.
This shouldn't be the customers issue when staff don't even know what's in a meal deal.
From a previous food and hospitality background it goes a lot further letting the customer know there has been a mistake so they know for next time but let them have it anyway since it was the staff fault for being under trained because $1 isn't worth a non return customer...
Read moreOrdered their five-spice roast pork bánh mì that the young guy serving (the owner?) generously made sure I received even though they don’t actually start them till 10am (this was 8:30am). A really wonderful balance of flavours. Mildly spicy. Not the extremes of Footscray’s French Baguette, the last crispy pork bánh mì I tried. No need to go from meaty bite to pickled salad bite (admittedly this same priced $11 roll was quite a bit smaller). It even improved after it spent an hour waiting for me to finish it. The sauce soaked into the bread forming a gel, yet still crusty on the outside, creating a lovely spectrum of sensations. Just… nice! Didn’t overload their chai latte with sugar either. This is far from an old school bakery. Not a bakery at all. Pastries from Noisette. Overall a...
Read moreOwner and staff are attentive and love their business and customers. They try new options regularly and have very reasonably priced noodle and banh minh roll combos and options. I buy a * 4 * shot grande sized coffee for 4.70 which I affectionately call my 'the usual bucket please'. I used to rave about the roast pork and crackling noodle bowl but lately the fried chicken and spicy mayo has my heart. It can get a bit crazy busy at lunch, so just before or after is most comfortable. Only minor niggle - they tell you your number to remember. Lucky if they know you, they'll bring it out direct, but there's quite a few times people forget their numbers and I can see it...
