I ordered and picked up Chilly Paneer around 8.30 pm. I made rotis at home for my kids and when I opened the paneer.... such a shock and disappointment! The paneer pieces were drenched and sunken in oil! I took it to the restaurant immediately and showed it to the guy at the restaurant and said "My kids are waiting to eat their dinner with rotis but I cannot serve this to them" He said very casually "if you keep it for some time it will become like this only" to my greatest dismay. He said he will make it fresh but never admitted that it wasnt supposed to be like that or apologised. He did not even have a slight regret or guilt that somebody's dinner has been wrecked! This was at 8.50 pm and the curfew starts at 9 pm which means I cannot buy it from anywhere else, of course I then cooked something quickly and fed my kids. The carelessness of this restaurant guy really stressed me and upset me that I told him I am never coming back there ever again!

Surprised at how low the prices were compared to other places but I was disappointed with the food. Noodles were too saucy and oily. Fried rice was mid. Palak chicken even at medium spicy was rather flavourless. Samosa in the chaat tasted stale. Veg Manchurian was ok and so was the Chole bhatura but only relative to the other dishes.

This place is our go to for Chole Bhature. They are the best. The Bhature are light and tasty, and the Chole flavorsone and fresh. For those of you who may be wondering why the place looks different, it has been renovated for a refreshed appearance. Will definitely be back again. Great service and delicious food.

Excellent food. Great taste and quality in Dandenong.

All rotis are always made fresh and made just before serving or packing. That's amazing. I have seen other busy restaurants make naans previous night and store in fridge, then microwave just before serving or takeaway.

Here all curries are made just before serving, unlike in the food courts where you pay a lot more for really small portions of the food and curries served from heated Bains.

Very hard working family. Really appreciate Sanjeev and family for their never ending efforts to upkeep food quality, taste and customer service. I can not imagine myself managing such a big complicated menu at a busy place like Dandenong.

You can also enjoy street style Gol gappas. They have same taste as I use to have in Jaipur, many years ago. Excellent Gatta Curry in Jaipur thali. Butter paneer masala with a butter naan is my favourite takeaway.

If you ask for one papadam, you get two sometimes. And once I got a masala salted lassi that had amazing flavours of mint and roasted jeera, when I ordered just a plain salted one. They never stop surprising you with their customer caring skills even in challenging times. I wish all the...

Always on the hunt for the perfect authentic Indian meal and chai in Melbourne, I was encouraged by a friend in India to visit Taste of Jaipur. So, Marika and I jumped in the car with our high hopes and empty bellies and headed to Dandenong. We were not disappointed! Every dish was so PERFECT that I can’t even find any other words to describe it. I had a beautiful veg tali with endless roti and Marika had the good old Aussie fave, Butter Chicken. Oh my goodness, my mouth is actually watering as I type this. So good was the meal, that we ordered take away packs to keep us in good health for a few more days 😋. The chai to finish the meal was, of course, no roadside chai (#obsessed), but also perfect, taking me straight back to the warm hospitality of every Indian home I’ve visited. In India, ‘Guest is God’, and we were treated exactly the same way throughout our lunch. If you can’t find me, you know where to look, I’ll be at Taste of Jaipur in Dandenong 🥘. Follow me @tamba_wildflower for all things...
