Located along Chapel St, Windsor, Kaneffi specialise in modern Lebanese desserts. Offering both takeaway and dine in, they have a range of baklava and bite sized treats perfect for when on the go. Alternatively, you can dine in and make your own dessert as I did.

First you select your base from a range of Lebanese desserts, then you choose your toppings and the final step is to add any extras. We shared three creations, the baklava sandwich topped with smooth caramel & vanilla ice cream, halawet el jebni topped with ore-yo! and Kaneffi ashta topped with the middle eastern. Everything came out beautifully presented. The desserts are on the sweet side so I recommend sharing them if you’re not a big sweet tooth.

My favourite was the halawet el jebni and ore-yo! I loved the chocolate flavours from the ore-yo toppings, I thought it worked beautifully with the traditional dessert and found it to be not as sweet as the other desserts we had.

With the baklava sandwich you can choose your own filling, we had vanilla ice cream. The creaminess of the ice cream was nicely contrasted with crunchy textures from the honeycomb crisps and walnuts in the smooth caramel topping.

The flavours of the rosewater syrup and pistachio in the middle eastern topping that accompanied the kaneffi ashta beautifully complimented each other. I loved that the rose water was served separately so you can pour as much as you’d like.

Overall I had a lovely experience at Kaneffi. I love how they blend traditional desserts with modern flavours and the the cool create your own dessert concept. Everything we tried was delicious. I rate Kaneffi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Thanks very much...

I recently visited Kaneffi, the charming Lebanese dessert bar on Chapel Street in Windsor, Melbourne, and it was an absolute delight for the senses! From the moment I stepped into this cozy gem, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that perfectly blends modern sophistication with Middle Eastern charm.

The star of the show is undoubtedly their famous Dubai Chocolate Bar👌, a masterpiece of creamy pistachio encased in silky-smooth milk chocolate. Each bite is a harmonious balance of rich, nutty flavors and luxurious sweetness, showcasing the artistry and passion Kaneffi pours into their creations. Beyond the Dubai Chocolate, their menu is a treasure trove of Lebanese-inspired treats—think crispy baklava sandwiches drizzled with rose water syrup, decadent maamoul filled with walnuts, and the whimsical ashta ice cream topped with fairy floss and crushed pistachios. Every dessert is crafted with premium ingredients, and the attention to detail is evident in both presentation and taste😋.

The beverage selection, including their authentic Lebanese coffee☕ and refreshing peach ice tea🧋, complements the desserts beautifully, making it the perfect spot for an indulgent afternoon or evening treat. The service was impeccable, with staff eager to share their knowledge of the menu and offer recommendations. While the prices reflect the premium quality, the experience is worth every penny👍.

Kaneffi is a must-visit for dessert lovers and anyone craving a unique fusion of tradition and innovation. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Windsor, this dessert haven at 174 Chapel Street will leave you craving more. Highly...

We were so excited when we found out there was a Modern Lebanese/Middle Eastern Dessert Bar that had opened right in the middle of Chapel Street!

We are familiar with Lebanese dessets, having lived in areas such as Oakleigh and Dandenong and are big fans of baklava and kanafeh.

What stands out at Kaneffi is how modern the place is which then translates to the desserts! Walking in, you are welcomed with a long display of sweets including traditional baklava as well as fun ones like nutella and oreo baklavas. Even better is how you can make your own dessert dish! Think starting with a base, then adding presuggested toppings and then even more extra toppings! This is what makes this place so much fun and unique and different from what we've seen!

We were treated to three dishes: Kaneffi Baklava Sandwich with Middle Eastern Topping Ashta Kaneffi in a Waffle Cone with the Im Nuts About You topping and drizzle of melted chocolate Ashta Kaneffi in Ka-ak with a smooth caramel topping

Along side with had Lebanese coffee and Lebanese afogato which had rosewater icecream

Everything tasted so delicious! The authentic flavours were there and the modern twist made it even more exciting and delicious!

If you are a sweetooth, this place is a must visit! We cannot wait to return. A perfect place to end a lunch or dinner out at...

I had a really disappointing experience here. I came in with my husband (he's not a fan of sweets, so he just came along and sat at the back of the room). I stood at the counter alone, clearly ready to order, but the three ladies were too busy chatting with each other to notice me. It took me three attempts to get their attention, pay, and finally sit down. When my order was ready, the staff member completely ignored me and placed it in front of my husband, speaking only to him—as if she hadn't just taken the order from me five minutes earlier. A few minutes later, she brought out the second part of the order, again putting it in front of him, smiling and chatting with him, and continuing to ignore me entirely. I’m not sure if this is how they treat all women or just certain ones, but it felt really strange and uncomfortable. As for the food, the viral strawberry cup was overly sweet—I couldn’t even finish half a spoonful. The rest went straight into the bin. The baklava was average at best. Oh and was pistachio baklava supposed to be 2pcs? They put only one (the 2nd one in the picture is the walnut piece). Finally, loud, annoying music made it hard to enjoy our time; we had to change seats several times and it was still uncomfortable. Overall, it was a very odd and disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend it.
