Went by LA Smash Burgers because I’d heard good things about their burgers being really good. Staff were super nice and friendly, the place itself has a great vibe, but sadly the food didn’t live up to the hype.

The burger patties were just tasteless: rubbery, bland and unseasoned. They were doused in sauce to the point that the bun was just a soggy mess. The jalapeños were basically raw and added to the top rather than being grilled with the patties. Just a really not-good burger unfortunately. Considering they’re touting to be smash burgers, I expected more of a crispness to the burger, but they just felt steamed and overcooked.

The loaded fries were nice! They had a very nice seasoning mix on top which was good!

Not sure if it was maybe just an off day, but I just wasn’t impressed and I ended up leaving half of it because I just didn’t want to eat it. The burgers could be improved by seasoning the patties (rather than drowning them in sauce), cooking the jalapeños into the patties on the grill and getting the crispiness that a good smash burger...

If you’re a burger lover in Melbourne, LA Smash Burger in South Yarra is an absolute must. Their burgers are everything a real smash burger should be—super juicy, full of flavour, with that perfect crispy edge on the patty that only a proper smash can deliver.

I’ve tried a few, but the Jalapeño with Swiss cheese burger has completely stolen my heart. The combo of the mild, creamy Swiss cheese with the kick of jalapeño is just unreal. Every bite hits that sweet spot between spicy, cheesy and juicy—comfort food with serious flavour.

The potato buns are soft, the meat is seasoned perfectly, and you can tell they care about doing burgers properly. No fuss, no overcomplicated toppings—just pure, delicious, American-style smash burgers done right.

If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favour and go. Easily one of the best burgers...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars – Absolutely Delicious!

I had an amazing experience at Smashburger! From the moment I walked in, the service was friendly and fast. The burger was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection – you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. I also tried the Smashfries, and they were crispy, flavorful, and incredibly addictive.

What really stood out was how fresh everything tasted. The bun was soft and warm, the toppings were fresh and crunchy, and the melted cheese tied it all together beautifully. It’s definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time.

Whether you’re craving a classic or something a bit more unique, Smashburger delivers every time. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a good...

About time 'smashed' burger heat up our shore. It has been popular in many other places for its smokin' bun flavour as they're grilled and pressed on hot plate before ingredients are layered on them. Those golden melted cheese alone is worth noting and paid homage to if the fresh, not frozen patties, that is juicy and aromatic wasn't enough point of sales....well of course it was. Also worth mentioning is the kick of fresh jalapenos and sour and sweet pickles to complete my perfect burger that afternoon. LA Smash, a burger joint, but not like any others. Easy to access with public transport, mere minutes walk away from South Yarra train station.

Ordered the double patty classic west coast meal deal which include a side of fries and a can of drink. The smash burger was very tasty; it was proper smashed beef patties with the crispy edges, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, and topped with melted cheese. grilled onions, pickles and a good amount of their tangy LA sauce. The potato bun was soft, just lightly toasted and holds everything together well. Fries were perfectly crispy, not sure if it was the oil used but it has a nice savoury flavour in addition to the salt. Overall a very good smash burger which didn't feel greasy and heavy on the stomach.
