Les Crepes Gourmandes — Restaurant in Melbourne

We have been coming here quite a few times and love their food. But recent experience has made us quite uncomfortable. We have special needs children and people don’t know how difficult it is for parents to manage them in public places. Suddenly my wife needs to run to manage my low functioning autistic daughter while waiting for food and I was in a different place with my son. When we try to pickup our food the middle aged lady in the shop (May be one of the owner) yelled at us saying we have been calling you over 10 min. When I mentioned that we have special needs kids and had to run then she still insisted that you must tell us if you are not here as if that’s not an excuse.

If customer doesn’t pickup food then it customer’s responsibility not yours. So why you keep yelling?

We have been going here for many years, usually excellent. Today I went to pick up my wife's favourite waffle. when she opened it when I got home, it was a crepe. Still yummy, but clearly not what we asked for. Disappointment was strong. Usually the older french woman is working, and always makes everything perfect. Today the older gentleman and young lady were working and I guess there was some miscommunication. I would still recommend going here, but I guess you have to really make sure they get your order right because when you do get the right thing it's great. we tried to call them to rectify the situation but they have no phone number listed so we had to leave it...

My breakfast choice with a savory crepe. I arrive at 8 sth in this Wednesday morning, surprisingly not much was opened and this was one of them. They got savory and sweet choices, prices within $12-16. I ordered a salmon heaven crepe ($16) and it was served within 5 mins which was pretty quick. The portion was more than the photo showed in their shop 😅😅 The crepe was pretty hot filled with spinach, salmon put on top and plenty of avo(I guess more than a half of an avo) and sour cream was put aside as I requested.
