Let's start with the good. The laksa broth is legit. Not curry at all. Spicy, rich and fragrant with laksa leaves. The noodles were a bit too soft for my liking so will swap with the wantan dry noodles next time. Still yummy with just the basic version for $14 with fish cake, egg and tofu. Not a bean sprout in sight either.
The okay. Dry noodles for $13 had great wirey bitey texture. With two pork wantans and an egg, I wanted to see if the sauce held up. It didn't. Tasty but not quite legit wantan mee. Flavour was not quite authentic but couldn't place my finger on what was missing.
The average. Chicken rice for $19. Rice was glutinous like and tasty. Chicken was tough for Hainanese chicken rice. Chilli was fragrant but lacked taste and spice. Ginger was oily and tasty. Soup had cabbage and was definitely not chicken soup. Gai wong has better chicken rice.
The down right bad. The nasi lemak was embarrassing. The amount of sambal given was ridiculously little (see photos). The rice had no fragrance or taste. The one saving grace was the crispy ikan bilis and kacang.
Spent $55 for two at a food court stall and would only ever order the laksa again with wantan noodles.
Update: Both my partner and myself experienced tummy upsets a few hours after eating the chicken rice. Bought takeaway the day before and was...

Will definitely come back for dry noodles which is another famous...
