I ordered a matcha latte with my regular recipe but it seemed not right, I was standing there and confused, I asked the barista who made my drink, and she explained to me if I wanted my order like usual I had to choose a different cream, I still confuse so she offered to make the drink again with a very bad attitude, I sat down and be on the phone texting with my friend. After gave me the drink she asked me if I took a picture of her or something, I said no, why do you think so? It’s really offensive because she knows her attitude is not right and she worries that I may leave a bad review. I didn’t want to do that at first but after that rude question, I changed my mind. I called customer service to report what happened. They apologized and gave me a free drink for next time in Starbucks. I was relieved at that time. But I think again, I can pay for my own drink, what I want is just an apology from that barista. I called customer service the second time and she put me on the line with Starbucks Highpoint, but the manager wasn’t there. I spoke to William, he asked if am from XX (my company name, I work in Highpoint and I’m a regular customer). Seem like he knows what happened, and he seems to stands on his co-worker. He told me if I wanted to speak to the manager then call again on Monday. After that, the barista Jesse (Jessi??), who gave me an attitude CAME TO MY WORKPLACE, I thought that she gonna apologize or explain why she did that to me but no, she asked what is my full name and threatened to report me to my manager about what I did (buy myself a drink). It makes no sense when you order a drink and then now your company is relevant. She asked me if I wanted to know her full name, and told me that she works every Saturday. Seem like she knows that Starbucks can’t do anything to her so she follows the customer to threaten them first and then challenge them afterward. I called customer service the third time and reported what happened. I cried and it left me trauma with the Starbucks staff. Now I’m worried that she could endanger me. Follow me to my workplace is a personal level now. The customer service staff on the third time I call agree with me that what Jesse the barista did was wrong, the barista and I are Vietnamese, at least she should respect her people. Maybe she knows that the only thing Starbucks can do is give her a warning then that’s it. My trauma with Starbucks will be forgotten cause they have thousands of customers. Now I’m writing this to let Starbucks know about what the Jesse staff did to me and I hope that no customer who uses their money, to pay for their own drink will be treated, followed to their workplace, and threatened like me. Hope that Starbucks can prevent this from happening, send me an update about this case, and what they could do with the staff to make the customer feel safe when buying a drink from...
Read moreI'm actually writing this for my young daughter who was allowed for the first time to go shopping with her friends to learn some autonomy given she is now a teen. She was waiting politely in-line and a staff member Jonathan was serving. He did see her as another one of her friends had ordered and she was next in line.
Another customer, two in fact, older woman then proceeded to rudely cut infront of my daughter...obviously passive aggressive characters who sid see her waiting to ordsr, yet took advantage of her age.
My daughter politely allowed the first woman to be served, even if it wasn't her turn, however when Jonathan decided to then serve the other woman who'd pushed in, my daughter spoke up. Jonathan's attitude and response was both rude and demeaning. He looked at her up and down and basically lied saying the two woman were there first. This was all being observed by 2 other girls and a mother who had accompanied my daughter.
He then proceeded to take my daughter's order afterward which was an iced chocolate. He snapped at her, gave her filthy looks and was condescending.
I was appalled to hear this and had I been there would've addressed it on the spot. The whole aim of my daughter having this experience is tk learn confidence and manners on her own.....yet here is the most unfortunate example of an extremely rude individual toward a potential paying customer, who was not the best role model.
The substandard service provided was not only toward my daughter, but to others as well, including loud unfriendly calling of names to orders followed by careless sliding of coffee/orders down if not across the bench.
It's the not the first time I've seen this behaviour but given the way they even treat young adults, it's about time I wrote this, to call out a need for improved quality...
Read morePlace was filthy and extremely messy today. Queue was out the door and it was very busy however there were hardly any seats being taken (eventhough it was mostly vacant) because the tables were not cleared and dirty with used cups, crumbs and discarded straws! I had to ask to speak with the manager to provide feedback as this is not good for their brand. Store hygiene was non existent, hopefully this is not a recurring issue with this store. Manager was apologetic about it which was great - saying they are short staffed and very busy. Point taken but perhaps they can review their rostering and ensure they are adequately staffed for saturdays or any busy day. More importantly, cleanliness first before profit. Customers will happily wait for their frappucinnos BUT I am NOT sure customers will come back to a filthy Starbucks store. The tables did get cleaned up about 10 minutes after which was a little too late. I would have preferred to enjoy my frapp inside the store with some pastry which I didn't buy because there were no clean tables. I hope I do not have this bad experience again if I decide to come...
