We had lunch at Mad Patties East Melbourne and tried their Value Box Meal — and wow, it truly lives up to the name!

For $16.90, you can choose from two great combos. We got: Mad Moo Burger + 1 x Boneless Chicken + Fries Hot and Mad Burger + 2 x Wings + Fries

The food? 10/10 for taste. The Mad Moo was juicy and full of flavour, and the Hot and Mad brought a delicious kick of heat without being overpowering. The boneless chicken and wings were perfectly crisp, and the fries were fresh and generously portioned.

Great value for money — the serving sizes were satisfying and left us full. You may have to wait a little for your food, but it’s made fresh, and the wait is absolutely worth it. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout.

What also stood out was the venue itself — colourful, vibrant, and full of charm. From the bright MP sign, leafy decor, and hanging vines, to the playful handprint mural and the beautiful painted vineyard wall, the whole place has a fun, family-friendly vibe with thoughtful, creative touches. The indoor space feels inviting and unique — not your average burger joint.

A good little burger place, right near the MCG and still close to the CBD and Bridge Road. Went there for the second time yesterday after a game. I had the Mad Patty, which was the messiest burger I have eaten since I went to the Chilli’s in US a while ago. Don’t be fooled, a messy burger is sometimes a great burger, and I was pretty happy with this one. Plenty of beef and cheese, maple flavoured bacon, and caramelised onion made it tasty, juicy and messy. The chicken burgers, my kids tell me were good, and my wife’s smaller beef burger was tasty, and still too big for her to finish. The fries are hot and crunchy and I recommend a mayo based dipping sauce to accompany them. Overall it’s a good venue but only thing I would pick on is that the food came out a bit scattered with my daughter waiting the longest for her burger- even though it was the first part of the order given.
