On Sunday, August 25th, I visited and purchased two coffees to enjoy outside. While we did bring a croissant from elsewhere to have with our coffee, we noticed that the tables were not cleaned and had spilled coffee on them. I initially went inside to ask for a napkin, which a staff member provided. However, it wasn't sufficient, so my partner went back in to request another. The staff member responded rudely, saying, "You can ask the next-door bakery for a napkin," clearly referencing that our croissant wasn't purchased from them.

I had walked by it a few times and made a note to check it out because it was so charming; however, when I finally popped in for a drink the male barista was super rude and short with us. He/they were annoyed when we asked to see a menu (we just moved to Melbourne and are still adjusting to the coffee scene) and then talked poorly about us to their coworker when he/they thought we were out of earshot. Perhaps they shouldn’t be in a customer service role or maybe they were just having an off day. The coffee was fine but I probably won’t go back due to the service. Lots of other places to go to on Lygon.

No milk options even for light milk - in this day and age you need to provide a few options with the many dietary restrictions some people have. “We only have regular milk”. Hot chocolate? “We only have coffee”. Why do you need 2 people serving? So hard to make coffee?
