Usually busy between 8 and 9 am on weekday mornings, market Lane Coffee has been making seriously amazing coffee for years. Market Lane caters for serious coffee lovers as it sells only coffee and tea made from coffee leaves. You can also buy lots of coffee accessories, but I just like to go there for a robust tasty espresso. The service is excellent, and the one occasion, I had a disruptive customer. The shop assistant helped him leave and gave me a free coffee. By the way, this disruptive customer who sat next to me decided to get on his phone and started swearing constantly to someone on the phone really by the way, this disruptive customer who sat next to me, decided to get on his phone and started swearing constantly to someone on the phone really loudly. It isn’t the best place to drive to make it; instead, it is a stopover before heading into the office. There’s a tram stop on Collins Street just outside the store, which is the last up before the tram turns onto Spring Street... Top-Tier Coffee Every Time – A Melbourne Favourite

Market Lane Coffee is everything you’d want from a specialty coffee spot in Melbourne—simple, stylish, and seriously focused on quality. The beans are always top notch, and you can really taste the difference whether you’re having a flat white, pour-over, or cold brew.

The staff are knowledgeable and passionate without being pretentious. They’re always happy to chat about the origins or brewing methods, and the service is consistently warm and welcoming.

The vibe is minimal and calm—perfect for a quick coffee or a quiet break from the city bustle. You can also pick up beans, brewing gear, and beautifully packaged gifts to take home.

If you’re a coffee lover visiting Melbourne, Market Lane is a must. Consistently excellent and...

First time trying out Market Lane coffee after walking past the shop many times and reading positive reviews. It was only a matter of time before I tried out their coffee! And I must say, it is pretty good! Although I had 1/2 strength I’m sure if I order normal/full strength next time it would taste even better (as I really got the coffee taste towards the end). Would come here again for sure for my morning coffee before work and maybe purchase the beans - I normally get coffee beans from another great city cafe but am willing to try Market Lane one. Oh and the customer service is wonderful! Well done šŸ‘šŸ˜ And yes, would of course highly recommend any coffee enthusiast to try Market Lane Coffee. You won’t be...

Superb coffee just as I'd expect from Market Lane. My flat white was spot on. I've known about Market Lane since mid 2010s so was well aware of the milk "situation." Doesn't bother me, I prefer full fat dairy. I was surprised there was no tea on offer however they do have a cascara brew (the cherry surrounding the coffee bean). This was a solid option for my companion who very much dislikes coffee. The cascara drink was delicious, beautiful delicate flavour notes, he was impressed. In terms of gluten free I recognised one cake as GF (it must be from a commercial supplier as I've seen it around). I'd check with staff about clean tongs to avoid cross contamination if you are coeliac as it was all on display together.
