Really underwhelming experience just now. I stood at the counter (alone) whilst the staff member popped a few croissants in the oven, then prepared the bags for said croissants with a napkin neatly placed in each bag, she turned around and I thought I’d get a “be right with you” or a “hi” or some acknowledgment. Nope. She noticed me but no customer acknowledgment at all. The staff member then prepared a bag with another napkin in it, and walked past me again and popped a muffin in that bag. I thought perfect, they’ll walk past me to get back to the coffee machine… they walked straight past me again. Then went to look at the coffee docket on the machine. I had been waiting about 3-4 minutes by this time, and there was as a table of 3 (waiting for their croissants) and two other people who where already enjoying their coffees. I.E. Not busy!! When they were shuffling the one coffee docket on the machine, I actually forced the issue a bit. I said “hello, would you mind if I ordered and then I could grab a seat.” I ordered my long black and grabbed a seat. About 5 or 6 minutes later I heard “long black” called from behind the counter and then again… my long black had lovingly been put in a takeaway cup, I guess saving on the washing up.
