My friend recommended this cafe to me years ago, but I hadn't tried it until today, despite passing by many times. Upon entering, a 'wait to be seated' sign was displayed, but there were no staff available to guide customers. I was confused about where to wait to place my order, especially with an open window next to the sign. The staff seemed occupied with various tasks, such as moving food/plates to a van, cleaning tables, and serving food, but there was no one specifically attending to customers. When I placed my order, the cashier didn't inquire about dining in or taking away. I assumed I could enjoy my cake with my coffee, but I was mistaken. Firstly, as I'm not a coffee person, I won't comment on the coffee quality, but the size was small. Secondly, the cake I ordered was meant to be consumed on-site with the coffee. However, when I attempted to eat it, I found it to be rock-hard, indicating that it needed to be brought to room temperature before consumption. 🤷‍♂️ My dissatisfaction stems not from the quality of the cake but from the fact that the staff didn't mention the need to eat it at room temperature. I was eager to enjoy it when I was in the cafe, but I could not. So it’s still in my fridge. 🤷‍♂️ If the staff had informed me during my order, I wouldn't have purchased it. After placing my order, I found a table, but it was dirty, and despite staff walking around, no one was cleaning the table. Additionally, there were no utensils, no drinking water, and no table service available when I was sitting there watering for my drink and food.

Absolutely fantastic café with beautiful French-inspired food — a true local gem in Malvern. I’ve visited many times, and the food, cakes, pastries, and coffee are consistently excellent. Many of the staff speak French, which adds to the authentic, charming atmosphere. The Parisian-style chairs and tables outside give it a lovely street-side feel, while the interior is warm and cozy. The staff are always welcoming and helpful - thank you!! The nourish bowl with hot honey halloumi is my particular favourite — fresh, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. The halloumi is deliciously crispy, and I’ve never had anything quite like it before. Perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even a relaxed afternoon tea. It’s also a great place to pick up some gorgeous pastries or cakes if you’re hosting at home and want a few impressive treats.

I ordered a cake just for feels lol I no longer reside in the East and was seriously missing Millstone cakes. Millstone is one those culinary gems that I would happily eat anything on their menu. Their food is LOVE, you can tell it’s made with finesse. I put this review off for so long bc I can’t really put into words how moreish and soul satisfying their food is. So back to the cake I ordered it for a week ahead, I was half expecting Millstone to say we need ample time ahead but they didn’t. They didn’t judge me for my amendments - they literally said sure and had it delivered pronto. My only reservations for Millstone is please come to the West - you are so sorely missed.

Underwhelmed and disappointed with my breakfast visit there on 23.10.21. There were plenty of staff and they were polite however the service was poor. The food took ages...I mean ages as I was there at 8.15am so I'd expect breakfast for two to be a quick turnaround. I was seated outside and as can happen, perhaps my table was forgotten. I ordered a coffee to take the edge of as I was waiting for my food for so long - two coffee's came out with little interest from the waitress to take the second one that I didn't order back. The coffee was weak and barely warm. I should have sent it back. An order of overcooked poached eggs came with one yoke broken...really the cook should have started again. The food was terribly overpriced due to small serves. I'm no slouch with paying for food - it's in Malvern so high prices are expected but this was unreasonable for such small serves. Two breakfasts, two coffee's, one pastry and one small lamington $69.50. I had to wait for ages waiting to pay as well. I think this could be a lovely cake/pastry shop only. It needs a lot of work if it wants to be a high end cafe. UPDATE: Just wanted to respond to the response from the cafe and say that pre covid I'd rarely post a bad review for a business - the poor review in this case was warranted. For this business to excuse their failures because of Covid is a lost opportunity for them. They were trading before Covid and they have a minimal breakfast menu that should be easy to streamline and manage. If you are going to charge those type of prices, you need to...

I was introduced to this little local cafe by a friend a few months ago. Been there everytime I took a walk cross the park. But I had to walk away today without food. Got there at lunch time. My partner went to the bathroom and asker me to order for him. The waitress ignored my waving hand so I went to the counter to ask for a menu as the cafe is busy. The waitress told me : I know. I am coming to you, just give me a second. I looked at the menu just there next to her and went back to my table empty handed. I thought that was not nice. I watched her walked around at her own slow pace. My partner had come back to the table asked me what I have ordered for him but I haven't had my menu yet. Finally she brought the water and menu. Gave me the one with a few pages missing. My partner was trying to show me what he think would be nice, but i couldn't see them in my menu. I decided to leave as I am not spending money in a cafe that is reluctant to provide good service. Single handedly, this waitress ruined my good experiences with this cafe for months. I won't go back in the near future. Even they have delicious nurish bowl. There are plenty lovely cafe in the area for us to choose from. They need more than one waitress to handle all the tables in peak hour. If there has to be one waiter/waitress, please put on someone friendly and...
