Twice I've come here for lunch with friends and both times were disappointing. The food is generally quite good but the service is not great.
Their tactic of hounding people as they walk by to get you to come in store is annoying but even more so when they don't even give you the chance to walk up to the store when you're already planning to go.
The servers couldn't not show less care if they tried. They never pay attention to the customer's. I had to call a server over 4 times before he even looked in my direction despite the store being quite empty. I had to correct him on my order 3 times and it still came out wrong, with parts of the dish missing, which they of course charged me full price for. Other servers throw and slide coffee across the table, spilling it everywhere, and don't even apologise. Again, no one even acknowledges you when you go up to the register.
The atmosphere isn't great either because they keep their blender in the coffee station in the main area in the restaurant instead of in the kitchen, which often goes off while you're dining, making it difficult to have conversations with.
The prices are a bit higher than what you would expect for mediocre dishes, and especially for the low quality service and atmosphere.
I can't say I'll be back again. Especially with this kind of service. It's very disappointing cause I wanted to like it, that's why I gave it a...
Read moreI placed an order for pick-up at 11:09AM. Upon receiving a notification, I arrived to collect my meal, only to find it was not ready. It was clear the staff had marked it as prepared to avoid a late preparation mark. I witnessed others who arrived after me being served promptly, their food already on the table. Integrity is the cornerstone of any successful business, and this experience falls far short. I cannot recommend this establishment, especially when paying $40 for lunch.
Additionally, the food I received was completely different from what was advertised in the app. I expected a slow-cooked lamb dish, non-fried and substantial in meat. Instead, I was given a greasy, unhealthy fried potato cake with a minuscule amount of meat. The restaurant blamed the delivery app for displaying the wrong photo. It is troubling that despite being operational for several weeks, the restaurant has not corrected this issue. This raises serious concerns about whether this was an oversight or a deliberate attempt to...
Read moreWith colourful backdrops and fairy floss ladened tiramisu lattes, this was a surprisingly good find at The District Docklands.
It's the little things that sets here apart from its club of coffee counterparts, like the sweet paprika and dukkah spice on the Halloumi & Mushroom Stack (although I do wish the bread was just a little more toasted to add a little crunch to the soft textures of the mushroom, cheese and hummus that little bit more).
The American classic Chicken & Waffle was the best alternative when looking for a non-dessert dessert thanks to that chilli maple and no need to trust a skinny chef when it comes to the Pulled Lamb Benny because the random man exclaiming it from across the cafe before I even sat down made this a must order and it didn't disappoint.
Sit down with Sash or grab and go with an entire toastie menu of dishes under $15, this can be a cheap eats...
