My friend (vegan and allergic to peanuts) has been going here for months and really enjoyed the product but her experience has been tainted by an extremely dangerous mistake on behalf of one worker. After asking multiple times for no peanuts in her roll she was quarter of the way through her food and found that she had been eating peanuts the whole time. She is highly allergic and had to settle her flaring reaction with zyrtec and water immediately, and to make it work this happened while she was rostered on at her job to work. Very disappointed and dissatisfied considering peanuts are such a serious and life threatening allergy, she won't be returning if it's so hard for her to enjoy...

Priced in-between 'Rossies Coffee' and 'Master Roll Vietnam'—two other nearby places which sell banh mi—Mr & Mrs Banhmi is the happy middle-ground for banh mi in this area. Friendly service, well-presented fresh ingredients, with the best bread out of the 3 banhmi places. I find the meats can dry out after the lunch rush, seems like there is no mechanism to keep them hot, so pork crackling can get chewy. Sometimes the lack of butter and pate results in dry banh mi... the egg and sausage brekkie roll being the exception, with fresh chili/chili sauce making for a delicious morning roll. That aside, if you see the donuts then do yourself a favour and buy a couple, they...

It’s an easy place to stop and grab lunch. The food is quite good the rolls and rice paper rolls! The older Asian lady is quite rude, I haven’t really experienced this before. I’m a half cast Asian and she looked me up and down, asked me to repeat my order three times… I speak fluent English, and ordered the same as the person in front of me. If I wasn’t hungry, I would’ve walked out! So rude and dismissive. The next week I went back with my European partner and she was all nice and friendly, she understood our order just fine. Be kind please older lady, customers are what make your store succeed. Racism towards your own is...

★5→3 I've known them for almost 2 years and I still think their Vermicelli noodles are the best. However, one lady is always super rude even I smile and be polite to her. Other customer mentioned it in their review says that is only for Asian customer and doesn't happen to Aussie or Westerns. If it's an Asian hate, shame on her. I still go to them but always hope she isn't there or not serve to me. They used to have really lovely staff but what happened lately? So disappointed and sad. >Best vermicelli I've ever had! Also rice paper roll was good! People are nice. Cute shop with comfy local atmosphere :) Will def come back!

I have dedicated a proportion to my life finding the best Banh Mi, and as a connoisseur of fine Banh Mi’s, gotta admit hawthorn is where it’s at. The store itself is hip, nothing like the good old bakery where the usual Banh Mi’s are found, prices are consequently a bit on the higher side and service is a little slow. But, the Crispy Pork Belly Banh Mi here is absolutely to die for, the baguette has the perfect level of crispness, the vegetable are fresh and the pâtè is perfectly mild yet add’s a higher level of meatiness to the overall experience. For the price the Banh Mi is overflowing and is the perfect lunch any day.
