With the recent booming growth of Thai restaurants in Melbourne, we are truly spoiled with choices. This restaurant serves Southern style dishes, although we ordered pretty common dishes like pad Thai and papaya salad so we are unable to tell the difference. The pad Thai although they claim it is not spicy but our little one still thinks it is quite spicy so we had to order another dish. We can't remember the name of the dish but we never saw it in other Thai restaurants. It looked like Malaysia/Indonesian style mee goreng with the thick round noodles. The Tom yum also comes with slices of fried pork belly that we rarely see. Overall the dishes are pretty good with strong flavours as you expect from Thai cuisine. The service is friendly and quite fast. Food - 8 Service - 8 Vibe - 7 Price - $$

Service was great, really kind staffs. But again, I do hope that you specify if spiciness cannot be changed. I cannot eat too spicy, and the curry almost made me fainted today, despite having specified to make it as least spicy as possible. I now have a stomachache all night despite having only eaten a few lotus stems from the curry. Seems like the fried dishes are quite overcooked, as they are dry and slightly burnt. Hopefully this can be improved next time. Pricing is slightly expensive compared to other Thai restaurants, but understandable as Flinders Ln is an expensive area, so probably high rent. But small portion though. You need to do a lot better to compete with Thai restaurants on Bourke Street.

🇹🇭 southern thai food 🏠: @patong_melbourne 📍: Flinders Lane, CBD 📝: Exploring the flavors of Southern Thailand at Patong, Melbourne's hidden gem, just opened a few weeks ago. ❤️: The Fermented Fish Entrails Soup with fermented rice noodles took our taste buds on a fiery adventure! 🔥🍜 Authentic, spicy, and oh-so-yummy! Highly recommend it to all the food enthusiasts out there! 🌶️😋 🇹🇭 southern thai food melbourne 🐚 Snail Coconut Southern Curry had us in food heaven, its creamy and flavorful goodness paired perfectly with rice. 🌴 And let's not forget the tangy and spicy Steamed Rice with Mackerel and Nam Prik, an absolute flavor explosion! 🌶️ Can't wait to go back for more mouthwatering adventures! 😋
