Pho Van — Restaurant in Melbourne

Ok giving this place 5 stars unapologetically for the fact that their pho will blow your face off your head. It’s absolutely unmatched locally and anyone that has the audacity to charge $16 for something this massive and delicious is a legend in my eyes. I don’t know how to rate the atmosphere fairly. They serve you, are polite, get food out ASAP, and then leave you alone to enjoy the hell out of it. What more could one ask? Is the furniture circa 1980s adult film, yes, but your food will be so good you hardly notice. I also love how they know that if you have a spicy soup like the hot and sour that you inevitably need a box of tissues for yourself and supply them non-judgementally. And you’ll need them because if you like it hot your nose will be running or at the very least, the sheer deliciousness of the meal will bring tears...

We have lived in the area for years but somehow have only just tried these guys. I am a pho fiend and theirs is amazing. Absolutely delicious and very fresh, high quality meat vegetables. Tonight we had the original Pho Bo Tai and I had the veggie pho - both were perfect and came with all the sides to flavour each bowl to your tastes as you would do in store. My partner and I also shared some lemongrass chicken ricepaper rolls which were also delicious.

We ordered through Facebook Messenger to support them and found them to be polite and very efficient. Our food arrived within 30 mins of ordering and was very hot.

Early last month, we had an amazing experience with the beef pho and chicken pho. Both dishes were delightful, packaged well, and incredibly generous in portion size, amazing value for money. I decided to order again a couple of days ago, and I was not disappointed! The consistency between my first order and this one was impressive. The way it’s packaged with care really shows how much a restaurant cares for their food and customers.
