THIS RESTAURANT BUYS POSITIVE REVIEWS.
So, I went back, it a shadow of what it used to be. Wait 30-40 min to be served in an empty restaurant. Lots of staff on. Guy sitting next to me left without being served at all.
âââ- Dinner service will ruin the brunch/lunch reputation. Last week we took one of our friends to the ânewâ dinner service at two feet first, one of our favourite regular breakfast restaurants.
After two hours of mistakes we left, paying top dollar, with not so much as a âsorry, please come back we will do better next timeâ.
We were the ONLY three guests in the restaurant for the first 1.5 hours, In this time, two of three meals were not put through to the kitchen, once we asked where they were the waiter told us we never ordered them a we were âsharingâ the salmon. Once the error was corrected, one of us had finished eating while the other two began their meals.
The service of our waiter was questionable, as we waited half an hour to order our desserts, as it was impossible to get our waiterâs attention. Both floor staff walked past us many times, to mop and stack chairs rather than collect our empty plates and order desserts. You would think they were closing, but no, a second table of two arrived and were seated for dinner. When we finally got his attention to order dessert he disagreed with our choice and began pushing different desserts, offering two for one deals, as we wanted to share a dessert (yes, finally just wanted one between 3) we explained a two for one deal was too much food. We didnât want it, we wanted what we had chosen, he continued to push, and we received an additional dessert we did not want or order.
Desserts were also lack lustre, the chef himself telling us the sticky date pudding was not up to standard, as the butter scotch was congealed on top of the stale pudding.
They also were unsure if sticky date should be served warm or cold, and did not serve the complete dessert, the menu informed us it was âserved with ice creamâ , which, when questioned we were told âitâs optionalâ, it was not.
We love two feet first but this was like going to a completely different restaurant. The lunch crew have always been incredible, and unless they are going to be the ones serving dinner, we will not be back.
Our friends first experience of two feet first was this dinner, and said âI thought you said this place was great? A favourite?â Later that week she said , âI canât stop thinking about how bad that service was, so expensive for that level of restaurantâ⊠She wouldnât go back, for...

I would like to acknowledge the consistent level of outstanding customer service experience I have had in your café over the past few months in particular with Amy. Every week I visit the cafe on several occasions, and I am always greeted with a friendly welcome by all team members.
Amy, I have to say has amazing customer service. Amy is always so enthusiastic and genuinely happy to see repeat customers. Her warmth and level of service remembering your name and where you like to sit are the little things that make you feel like you are a VIP guest. Amy also usually knows your order and remembers what you like and is efficient in getting you water and making sure you are comfortable and organises water. The enthusiasm in her service delivery really can change the day for how you are feeling upon entry. Receiving service like this is rare these days and makes the difference as to if you will return or not to a venue. Letâs face it customer service is the point of difference when you are talking about choosing which place to have a coffee and meet a friend. Two Feet First has great Coffee, Great Chai Latte, Great Fruit Toast.
I have to say it again from the moment I enter the café on each occasion, I look to see if Amy I on as she can really lift your spirits if you are having a down day. Amy makes you laugh and smile. You can tell that she enjoys her job, and she is very efficient is assisting her customers in ensuring that everyone is being served in a timely manner.
I wanted to send in this testimonial as I know hospitality is not always easy and staff are not always recognised for their level of commitment and loyalty to customers. I want Amy to be acknowledged by Management for her level of service excellence.
If youâre a future customer thinking of visiting Two Feet First make sure to look out for Amy. I would highly recommend that you visit this CafĂ© for great serviced, great coffee, reasonable pricing, never rushed out the door, they have a coffee card as well.
It is difficult to find committed employees in hospitality that do care about the customer and do have excellent service skills. Thank you again for the consistency in food prep and delivery and service delivery. I do get anxiety and going to Two Feet First or any Café can be overwhelming for me, but it was definitely worth it when you get service like I received. Thank you so much Amy.
I hope you are recognised for your level of service excellence.

Read moreI'm a local and this is our favourite lil café on the Chelsea shopping strip. Food is unbelievably tasty - there's going to be photos attached from a couple of different visits but the "Siamese Dream" was just that - a DREAM. Everything on the plate was very balanced, with the mildness of the pumpkin playing well against the saltiness of the pesto and cheese dollops. And that sauce on the burger - "Waffle They Think of Next", was actually so good that my boyfriend had to swat me and my chip carrying hand away from his burger. I was stealing his sauce!
I've also had their breakfast burger. The name escapes me, Burgermus Prime (?) that one was yummy, alright, but the Burger Project thing going on right now has much better burgers so I suggest ordering off that menu.
Just as an aside, the names are funny but a little... inaccurate. Not that huge of a deal but I'm a professional writer and I went đ§.. for example, Siamese usually refers to something/someone from Thailand or 'Asia' in general but the dish on the menu, 'Siamese Dream' seemed Arabic/Middle Eastern inspired with the Turkish bread and the falafel bits.
The chips were crunchy and tasty but a little on the salty side for my liking (not a big deal, just give it a tip tap on the side of the bowl). You also have to pay for sauces ($1ea).
The only reason TFF is not 5 stars (yet) is because the service here is quite slow - we waited 30 mins for our meal on Thursday at about 1-2pm. However, it's not a "service" issue since waitstaff were warm and very attentive, but a backlog in the kitchen due to a high volume of food orders. I've been both a waitress and a chef so I get it. In any case, the food is well worth waiting for.
A tip - park in the parking lot behind PetStock Chelsea to save you the anxiety of a Nepean Hwy parallel park and walk down. But if that method of parking is what you choose (who would ever actually want to parallel park..) then TFF's great food and warm atmosphere will make up for the stress you've put...
