This restaurant is absolutely awful. Went here recently. The worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant it’s actually laughable. The lamb tagine was obviously microwaved and quite honestly absolutely disgusting. I was extremely sick after getting home and vomited due to the poor quality of the food. The young waitress was nice enough but that didn’t substitute for the revolting food. The angry-looking old woman was using profanity and shouting which quite frankly made the establishment unenjoyable for everyone. I am appalled by the state of this excuse of a restaurant and would hope the owner (who walked around with an unhygienic massive clump of hair trailing behind him) makes some changes to improve this joke of an establishment. Come here if you want to: spend a ridiculous amount of money, get sick and listen to an old woman scream in a foreign...
Read moreWe loved our time at south bar. Our family (wife and 2 kids) ate here for dinner. My daughters got the Nachos and Spaghetti Bolognese and ate nearly all of it - rare for them being relatively fussy eaters. My wife and I got the prawn entree and spring rolls. Prawn entree was delicious and the girls stole the crunchy spring rolls from us. I thought the dipping sauce of bbq sauce and tomato sauce was an odd choice though. For mains my wife got the prawn pasta which she thought was ok and I got the lamb shank which I loved. Over all it was a great experience. The only thing i was shocked with was the lack of people in there. We were there early (at 1730) but no one came in and ate whilst we were there. I think it might have something to do with the entrance making it look like it was closed. Would recommend to anyone staying in the...
Read moreWe tried this place because it was close to our accommodation and it was too wet and cold to catch the tram into the city. We chose it based on the reviews and we were not disappointed! Now that I have eaten here I cannot fathom how this place cannot be super busy on a Friday. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and cosy on a winter’s night. You’re welcomed by staff with smiles. And the food? I cannot describe in mere words how succulent the meat skewers are (so much so we ordered a second helping) and how fragrant the chicken stew was. Did I mentioned the skewers? They would likely be a contender for what I would pick as my last meal if I was in a such a position. We ate everything so quickly that I forgot...
