I would say disappointment served on a plate. But they don't use plates here. And the closest I got to a meal is when the peoples boilup on the other side of the table almost run off my side of the table and into my lap. I think the phrase "All gong and no dinner" is appropriate here, since I left this place after nearly 3 hours having not been given any food at all. I ordered the fried scallops and gumbo, pretty much the simplest things on a menu to prepare. Deep fryer for one, and the gumbo should involve taking soup out of a bain marie, and adding rice, also out of a bain marie. This is not rocket science here.

Staff here had clearly no idea about how to cope with a large booking and 4 people had missing orders, 3 of us didn't get anything served up at all.

They had to be reminded about their job several times by other people in our group - including ordering drinks - note that apart from when I said on our fourth attempt at trying to understand the difficulties of what fried scallops involved that I was cancelling that order (90 minutes later!) that I had almost no interaction from the staff at all. And even that message was relayed on more than one occasion.

Until last night, in all of my adult life, and I ain't a spring chicken, I've never seen several people group up behind a bar to discuss how they managed to stuff something as simple as that up nor come to the table to question what went wrong more than once. But for me the worst part of the evening was apologising to my family as I left early and waited half an hour for a train so I could get to a food source.

When I was leaving and apologising to our guest of honour, his reply to me was "sorry, this was a failed experiment" I agree 200% with that.

Highlight of the night: Hot Spot Kebabs in Fairfield. This was not only the best food of the night, but it was the ONLY food I got...

Deliciously amazing Louisana style seafood!

We got to try a new seafood restaurant in Tattersalls lane. I'm not sure if it a franchise but we ate a similar restaurant in Japan and this one is just as delicious.

There was three of us plus one child so we tried the scallops, calamari, chicken tenders basket, fried fish basket, crayfish, scampi and clams.

The food that was fried like the chicken tenders, calamari and fried fish were done very well. They were fried in a way that was not greasy. The fried food tasted light and crisp.

The crayfish, scampi and clams all came in the plastic bags that they are famous for. We tried a variety of seasoning but the best was the whole she-bang. The other seasonings were good too but the whole she-bang tasted the best.

For families with young kids, I recommend the fried fish basket as it comes in a portion that is sized perfectly for kids. It came with 2 pieces of fish and fries.

The service was really good. We had multiple servers checking in on us. Nothing was too much of an ask.

The decor was really good. Once you step inside, you could be anywhere in the world.

One last thing to note, they are doing a promotion where you get 2 free pounds of clams when you dine in. It came guilt free with no hard sell. Best of all, the clams were big, plump and tasty. We had a guest with us visiting from Singapore and she noted how much bigger these clams were compared to Singapore.

Overall we were very happy with our visit to the boiling crab. My two regrets were not ordering the crab and having a beer. Both of these I'm going to cross off my list on the next visit. Highly...

my partner and i came to celebrate his birthday. he has never had seafood boil before so i thought i'd give him the classic american experience. we ordered the red deepsea crab combo for 2 with potato and corn extra juicy the whole shabang and mild spice, and a side of rice, coke and lemon lime bitters. when we first got our order we thought we could easily down this and it wouldn't be enough but we were pleasantly surprised that we got stuffed! the seafood definitely wasn't or isn't as big as they advertise it to be but honestly it's ok, the flavours and textures are great. i wouldn't recommend ordering extra juicy if you get sodium overload and don't plan on drinking it up. i would say the normal amount that comes with the bag is more than enough! i do agree that it can get quite salty but having that cold drink and white rice really balances it out. for the price, i think it's pretty decent since it's seafood and you're at a restaurant. worth the experience and would come here again but i do believe those that love to cook could easily make this at home! if you honestly can be bothered
