I visited this lovely café a few years ago with my good friends from Singapore and Sydney when they came to Melbourne for a holiday. Fast track to 2021, revisiting this café it’s still the same as ever, yummy food & warm hospitality. A great place to stop by for brunch en-route to visit the beautiful iconic 🌈 Brighton Bathing Boxes. We ordered for brunch: 🥘 House made Granola 🍳 Persian Baked Eggs 🍮 Raspberry Panna Cotta 🥘 Sweet Potato & Zucchini Fritters The house made granola tasted so yummy! Perfect for those that prefer a healthy light dish 💚 The mix of natural yoghurt, acai, with PB & fruits was really refreshing. I absolutely loved the Persian baked eggs, soo incredibly flavourful 🤤 with shakshuka spiced eggplants, goat’s cheese and perfectly made free range baked eggs on a hot skillet pan. I would so order this again! The raspberry panna cotta is presented so beautifully with the perfect panna wobble 😍! However, the crumbed biscuits of Tina wafers and Oreo was too sweet. If it was switched to something a bit lighter with a refreshing sauce it would be more well balanced. I’ve always seen a corn & zucchini fritter combo, but rarely do I see sweet potato & zucchini fritters so decided to give this a try! It was really tasty with soft poached egg & smashed avo. The presentation for this dish could have been better, however the flavours were on point. A lovely cafe to visit if you’re in Brighton.

Walked in on Sunday at midday, easy walk-in & got a table for 2 without any trouble. Most tables were occupied, and there were only 2/3 wait staff on the floor that day so it was a given that we would be waiting for table service. Got our menus about 5 minutes after we got seated. The menu had all day breakfast options as well as a couple lunch meals that you could choose from; alongside a good variety of coffees, both hot and iced, tea, some juices and smoothies to choose from. The food and drinks took awhile to come, but it wasn’t too bad. Everything was super yummy, the cheesy croquettes were so tasty! This dish came with 3 croquettes, 2 poached eggs, bacon and chorizo. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the hollandaise sauce went so well with the eggs. I do wish there was more chipotle sauce to go with the croquettes. The Big Al’s breakfast had everything you’d expect for a big breakfast. It was so satisfied and full after at the end. No complaints here! The smoothie was very nice and refreshing too! 📸 Cheesy Croquette Benny, Big Al’s Breakfast, Bangin’ Berries Smoothie

If you’re looking for a great feed in the Brighton area it’s hard to go past The Tamper Trap. I recently visited this cafe for the second time and enjoyed the experience as much as I did the first time. Visiting for breakfast we ordered the cheesy croquette Benny with an added side of smashed avocado and the Trapped chilli scramble with a side of potato croquettes. To drink we had a matcha latte and a mocha. Both dishes came out beautifully plated. I thoroughly enjoyed the chilli scramble, it was packed full of flavour. This dish is on the larger side so it’s perfect if you’re looking for a filling feed. The side of potato croquettes were delicious, crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. My friend loved the cheesy croquette Benny. The eggs were perfectly poached, the flavours worked together beautifully and the side of smashed avo added some freshness. Overall I had another great experience at The Tamper Trap. I rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 and recommend you check them out if in the area. Thanks very much for having me.

Visited the Bayside cafe, tamper trap over the weekend and I must say I was impressed. The decor is bright and modern and I loved the mixture of white tiles and timer used. The greeneris hanging from the ceiling gives makes the place vibrant. There was a good variety of food and drinks on the menu and kids options are available. We finally decided on what to order and we were happy with our choices. Big Al's breakfast - we really liked the dish as it had a good mixture and abit of everything. The dish was made better with a side of halloumi, be sure to add them. Everything on the dish was spot on and we could not have asked for more Grilled minute steak sandwich - This was the absolute highlight of our meal. From the grilled minute steak, to the caramelised mushrooms and onion relish everything was spot on. The steak was cooked perfectly and was not overdone and it went really well with the shoe string fries. Definitely recommend this dish if you like a good minute steak sandwich. Hotcakes sandwich with home made peanut butter ice cream - No brunch is complete without a sweet ending. We went with the hotcakes as saw they had homemade peanut butter ice cream. The presentation of the dish was top notch. There was a good mix to the elements of the dish. From the hotcakes that I've had before I always felt like it was lacking the crunch element. The crunchy Oreo crumble complements the dish very well as it gives it the crunch. The peanut butter ice cream was simply heavenly and I loved everything about this dish. Banging berries smoothie - The smoothie was nice and was not too sweet. It had a good balance of flavours and went really well after a meal. This place was actually packed on a Saturday afternoon and is popular to the locals around. Love how they have a diverse menu and there were brunch dishes with a twist. Definitely a great spot when you're around the...
