An artisan bakery in the heart of Glenferrie with cabinets adorned in high-quality viennoiserie, both in their ingredients and boulangerie pâtisserie skill. Their creations appear to change daily with a curation of carefully selected flavours which complement the food as a whole; I enjoyed their Blueberry Danish which was nicely broken up in richness with a natural Lime custard. Next time I will be getting the Foccasia which I keep thinking about (they need more savoury options on the weekend!). Their drink options (hot and cold) are substantial and offered in an array of non-dairy options, which at their price point is approachable for this locations offerings. They also stock organic juice and offer an assortment of high quality ready-made meals to take home from their other locations (which include a restaurant). With little space for dining, but many nearby outdoor tables (two of which are their own), this is a nice spot to grab lunch to take away if you are local. It is accessible and friendly in service. As a local, I hadn’t noticed its opening due to the store not having loud signage as their neighboiring store fronts in Hawthorn. It would be lovely to see some of their daily creations shared on their online business profile. The bakehouse is locational opposite the church, alongside Burwood and...

Once we got home, I realised they'd missed out on the almond croissant. I emailed, and after some back and forth management was very willing to accommodate and ensure I could collect on another date or receive a refund.
The 2 pastries were definitely a solid A in grading, especially considering they weren't fresh upon time of eating (our fault as we'd not opened the bag until later in the evening)
Highly recommend a visit. Not just on the quality of their pastries but especially in how they handle customers upon simple mishaps/human error.
Don't wait! Right up there alongside Artisan Bakehouse, T9,...

The coffee was underwhelming, with portions smaller than expected for the price. But the worst part was the matcha—it tasted absolutely horrible, bitter, and undrinkable. When I politely gave feedback, there was no apology, no offer to remake it, and certainly no attempt to improve the experience. The dismissive attitude was beyond...
