Please expect large wait times, I have been here many times now and I've spoken to lots of people waiting for over an hour. Last night I was told the wait would be 30mins and ended up waiting an hour on a hard wooden chair. People have things going on in their life, I for example work 60 hours a week, 6 days a week with a chronic medical condition. My partner had also just gotten home a few hours prior from surgery and I got out of an appointment after work, getting out at 7:30pm. That's a 12 hour day for me and I just wanted to get some food for myself and my partner. People have things going on in life. If the wait time is going to be 1 hour, don't lie and just say it how it is. I would not have waited otherwise. Now, the next day I am in immense pain from waiting on that chair. The food here is great and always has been, please don't let the wait times stop you from missing out on the awesome food. If I have one suggestion for the business, please hire more chefs. It is obvious the business has picked up and is always busy, just need more staff to handle...

The best product here is hands down the Katsu Chicken as the batter is nice and crisp, even when submerged in their average curry, while surrounding the tender chicken. The sweetness + saltiness is just right. The Karaage was decent, but definitely choose the katsu chicken when visiting.
Bonito based ramen is very clean with little oil. I really enjoyed the fried tempura pieces they give with the beef ramen as it was lightly battered which doesn't overpower the vegetable completely. I recommend the beef over chicken (trust me, that $1 will make a difference). The spicy coco ramen wasn't really spicy and their curry is very one dimensional unfortunately. Staff is exceptional, always...
Read moreBeen coming here for years, it's my go to for casual Japanese dining. Great quality and portions for the price. What makes Katsu my favourite: the Teryaki chicken has proper crispy grilled skin and a more homemade type sauce rather than the thick, overly sweet teryaki sauce a lot of other places use. I also love that the Bento meals come with pickled vegetables and edamame beans, tastes more authentic! My only very minor complaint is that it can get a little noisy when it's busy but overall love going there ❤️ can easily feed 2 for under $40 if you skip the entrees and drinks (there is free hot tea available) which makes for a nice sit-down dinner without breaking the bank :) or spend ~$30 each and walk...
