Last Friday I happened to see an ad of this place online, so I decided to take my baby here Saturday morning to support a local business.
The food and drink was really good. The biscoff latte was a treat. However what let me down was the attitude of the staff.
Upon entering the cafe, I could see a few empty tables, but some had a number on them, some didn’t. I asked a staff member “Are the tables with numbers occupied?” and a different girl said “You can sit anywhere.” which didn’t answer my question, nor helped.
I got a table, sat down with my baby, and surprisingly the pancakes came out way earlier before the drinks, not until we finished half the pancakes. I looked around for some water and couldn’t see any. No other table had water either, so I asked a staff if I could please have some. She said “The water is at the counter”, suggesting I should get up and get some myself and leave my baby in a high chair unattended (?). I said “ but I have a baby here.” She didn’t say anything and disappeared.
Ok, I get that it can get very busy, so I got up, left my baby at the table and quickly ran to the counter. I saw no water, kept looking, and out came that girl from … around the corner of the counter … with a bottle of water and 2 glasses. Wow! Yes, many cafes leave water for customers to self-serve, but usually in a highly visible spot, not around the corner of the counter, which myself, or anyone else, could easily miss if walking in the front door and sitting on the left side of the cafe. That explains why I saw no water on any other table.
When I got back to my table, my baby was having a sugar stick in his mouth 🤷🏻♀️ Girl if you was going to help me with the task, then it would be nice if you say something instead of just disappearing, so at least I knew and didn’t leave my baby unattended. If you wonder why I didn’t bring my baby with me to the counter, getting him out while eating and back in the high chair would have resulted in a tantrum.
I would happily give this place...

We live in the neighborhood, it was my first time and my husband hadn't been there for 6 months.
So that Saturday my husband and I went there with a friend. The store was quite busy but we got a table and sat down, order and waited about half an hour for the food to come out. should never wait that long for breakfast. I got a cold pressed apple juice, which was the only positive highlight. My avo mash with sweet potato puree was a real disappointment: paid $16-17 for about a tablespoon of mashed potato spreaded on the plate, a bit avo and pomegranate, green sprouts and tons of peppery spices, which dominated all the other flavours. my friend got egg benedict, with black burnt toast. he called the waitress and asked for another piece of toast, she asked "Why?" when it was visibly clear that the toast was so burnt. i forgot what my husband ordered but it was small compared to the price.
Plus, last weekend another friend of us came to the shop by himself, was told to wait at the table for service, sat down and 15 mins later still was not...
Read moreConstructive criticism: ordered the 6056 burger, now the burger came out with a side of chips in a mini fry basket however they had placed gravy on said chips right next to the burger, now any sane person would think gravy is a liquid and burger absorbs liquid, what happens next...."put the gravy in a Mini gravy boat on the side and let customer choose to apply".
Further criticism is that the beef Patty's in the burger have consistency that of frozen Patty's of simple just beef texture and bland flavour, for the price of the burger I would expect it to be fresh made of a daily batch with a little creativity and taste.
Maybe look into making the burger even better and not having 2 frozen cooked Patty's and having fresh patty and a small steak.
Apart from that it didnt taste terrible as the other toppings were fresh such as the beetroot mix and the fresh cut chips were the highlight sadly to say.
The partner got the eggs benny and was extremely happy with it and from what I tried of it I instantly regretted...
