This motel is about 350 metres from Moree's railway station and closer to the main highway.||||It has a very strange entrance on Dover Street, with a latched gate. Odd! There is limited parking at the back. ||||There are eight rooms. The proprietoress Mitra was from Macedonia and had very poor English. Central Europeans are attracted to the Moree mineral spa baths run by the Moree Plains Council.||||I had booked on booking.com at a price of $70 (without breakfast). Mitra told me the tariff was A$80 but relented when I showed her a copy of the booking.||||The room was through what seemed to be the family loungeroom.||||It had a comfortable Queen bed with top sheet and quilt - better than a doona, a small television (with Sky News) above a wardrobe, a kitchenette with cutlery and crockery and a table and two chair inside, plus more outside through another door.||||Lighting was just OK with a bedside lamp and other bedside light.||||The aircon was fairly noisy but otherwise effective.||||A poky 1980-era bathroom nonetheless had an acceptable shower, but there was only one towel plus a strange hand towel. Shampoo was not provided but a large bar of soap was.||||Overall this was a basic motel with a bathroom that requires renovation but it was very quiet, meaning a good sleep.||||Mitra offered to take me to the station...
