This is a must stop for anyone who wants a taste of local cuisine. Or a great meal. Now definitely not a health conscience choice but it's good for the soul (or a meal at 3am when your drunk and need a good feed on a freezing night). The main focus I feel is on the pies. Large selection, even a veggie pie (they go quick). They do hot dogs, coffee and a selection of cold drinks. Plus a few other things . But you can't go past a tiger pie. Can be very busy and little noisy been next to the road. Sometimes little windy been exposed close to the water. The other side of that coin is you have a terrific view of the harbor. Even better you walk less then 50m and sit right on the water. Staff are great, very relaxed and chilled. A place that should be part of any bucket list...

Being a mobile van there is not a lot of places to sit, but the nearby park has plenty of bench seats as well as some new picnic tables, but not much shelter from the elements. I recommend the plain pasties, they are filled with tasty chunks of meat and vegetables, and made with " melt in the mouth" puff pastry...delicous!! A lifelong Sydney resident having never tasted Harry's wares and only moving to Newcastle recently Mr K felt somewhat peckish. He ordered the signature 'pie and pea floater", t'was a gastronomic marvel, all the food groups in one delicious sloppy delight.
