Owner was extremely offended when my mother and I used the outdoor toilets. after we asked a female worker permission and thought she was pointing us in the right direction. The owner then entered the women’s bathroom (whilst we were using the toilet) and was angrily telling us we could not use the bathrooms and that it was private property and we should know better. I felt afraid for my safety because of his aggressive tone and attitude. We profusely apologised but he did not stop berating us. We then walked away and I had a panic attack. We suggest that you close your bathrooms or put up a sign if you don’t want people to use them. I feel very shaken up by this experience. We truely thought we had permission as we asked then we pointed to the toilets and the worker pointed to them also and gave no said or signal that we should not use them. We are sorry that this offended you and we’re not trying to be malicious at all. I felt that you did not give us any time to explain the situation and had an aggressive and accusatory response. My father also apologised to you and offered you money in compensation which you denied. I have never had a restaurant owner come into a bathroom and yell and me. Especially when it was all a harmless...
Read moreThe family and I were in Newcastle today and weren't sure what to have for lunch. Being on Darby meant we were spoiled for choice but we were walking past Kai Fan and it looked great so we decided to give it a go. Happy to report that everything was excellent. It wasn't overly busy, which suited us fine. With the two kids + a pram in tow the staff were patient with us all as we navigated ourself to our table and got settled. When we sat down our 2 year old immediately launched herself at the bowls and tableware. The waitress cleared her space and brought back plastic bowls, cups and spoons. Perfect! It helped us relax a lot knowing she wouldn't involuntarily destroy something. Wish more places did this The food was fantastic. We had steamed BBQ pork buns, a variety of dumplings, spring rolls and fried rice. Everything was fresh and delicious. I didn't look to deeply at their wine list but they had a nice selection of local and imported beer as well as spirits. All up lunch was $90 for the 4 of us (2 x adults/ 2 x kids), this included a beer for myself and a few soft drinks. We will definitely be returning and if you're after a great meal and experience I'd wholeheartedly recommend you pop in and give...
Read moreA family restaurant full of love, we can often see the loving exchanges and shallow kisses between husband and wife during the meal, and you can also see the couple kissing after work to give each other care. The husband and wife looked young, but the restaurant was surprisingly authentic. It was the most enjoyable food I've had in Newcastle.
This is my lasted review, when we went to dinner this week, the waiters seemed to ignore the non-Asian customers. It was even difficult to tell the characteristics of the dishes and the ingredients in the dishes. My Indian friends were afraid to order anything except vegetarian dishes. Unfortunately, Lotus Leaf Rice which has the chicken inside, the menu and server didn't tell us. It shows that the owner and staff have no communication with the kitchen, and they are not very careful about the dishes. In addition, the inside of the bathroom is also very dirty, with rubbish and excrement everywhere. The price does not match the service provided. Won't be back. Completely different from the...
