Let me start by saying I have been meaning to write this review for months.

I first dropped in to Xtraction at 2 or 3 in the arvo midweek peak 'Rona - while cafe's were not allowed seating. I wasn't looking for a coffee but the Slayer caught my eye, and being relatively new to spending time in the East End I thought I'd check it out. As I approached and saw the Mythos' and EK combo, my hopes were high. The owner was lovely and more than happy to talk coffee with me as he seemed to be packing down. He poured my friend and I our espressos and they were every bit what I had hoped. As a soy drinker (when not black) I was VERY pleased to see Happy Happy Soy Boy on offer.

I am now working in the East End and I do my best to make time to sit in each morning, and enjoy the coffee to its fullest. When I'm in a hurry I can order my takeaway on their app, and if I'm feeling indulgent their banana bread is my go to breakfast.

Great coffee, amazing food and incredible service. I now know why you were incredibly busy both days I visited. I wasn’t surprised the place was packed both times. I’ve own a cafe, and was very impressed with how efficient you all were. You can tell you are a well oiled machine and a great team! Music was great and I loved how the staff were singing and dancing. Special mention to the lovely young lady Katy who went above and beyond to treat me like her other patrons she knew. Even though I don’t live local, I now know where I will go when I’m in...

You haven't experienced coffee until you have been here. They really know what they are doing here, perfectly extracted coffee in both espresso and batch brew. The sweetest and most divine pure coffee taste you will ever experience, You do not need milk or sugar for this amazing coffee. I have not yet tried their food yet but if it is anything like their coffee it will be great, because it looks amazing as well. I am yet to find a place better than this, I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for bringing this experience to the...

This coffee shop was definitely a highlight for our trip in Newcastle. We had the best breakfast and coffees just before we left yesterday morning. Best Salmon Eggs Benedict and Bacon Mushroom Sandwich I’ve ever had in years. Coffees were 100% amazing. Staffs in the front were professional and friendly, thanks to them and chefs in the kitchen. We would come back to Newcastle just for the coffee and food. An extra piece of smoked salmon for next time would be appreciated 😁

Great little cafe @xtractionespresso with a vibrant atmosphere in the heart of Newcastle. Excellent range of coffees, using @gleecoffeeroasters for their bean. Food wise, this burger is the “egg slut” burger. Folded egg and hash brown and bacon, laden with sauce on a charcoal bun. We also had the daily special; a vegetable frittata with side salad. A top little spot to visit
