I've posted about Alfonsinos before, it is by far my favourite Italian restaurant in Darwin. This time my partner and I had the beef wellington (not Italian I know!) And it did not disappointment. This is on a special menu that requires you to give a few days notice for Alfonsino's to prepare. Oh..my..! The flavour in the layers, the crispy pastry exterior, through to the almost hidden mushroom and prosciutto layer (not hidden from the taste buds that's for sure), then finally the tender melt-in-your mouth beef! If only one slight criticism, a touch more in the oven would have been preferred as the beef was very rare in the middle and not hot, but this was not a deal breaker for me. To top it off the baked potato slices you can cover with the rich gravy. As always the staff are friendly and prompt with service. 10/10!

I have always passed by this restaurant everyday, but never had the chance to try so when my girlfriends got together, I suggested this place straight away. There were so many delicious options in the menu which made it difficult to decide to get either a pasta or pizza. I looked under the Calzone section and was surprised to see a dish that's basically a pizza and pasta in one! I ordered the small size but was stunned to see a folded pizza bigger than my head! The dish was so good that I managed to finish it all (despite my doubts) and wouldn't hesitate to order it again. Thanks for the delicious meal team! Will come back here again soon enough!

As locals we preordered the special steak dish on a Friday night. We we eeew delightfully overwhelmed with the quality & taste of the meal. Potatoes, grilled capsicum, grilled eggplant, piadina bread, rocket, cherry tomatoes, pickled Endive and lay but not least the oversized T-bone steak! We had seen this dish in the Instagram account and had been dreaming about it for a while. It was super tasty, great service, beautiful wines and amazing meal! Well done team Alfonsinos. There was so much to eat- we couldn’t consume it all- but lucky for us we were offered a takeaway container. Alfonsinos is a great locally owned restaurant. *love the new bar

This is how you to run an Italian Pizza restaurant! Great Italian wine with honest ingredients on your pizza. I don’t want to say the is the best pizza in Darwin... BUT I have not seen any other restaurants in Darwin producing this kind of quality of food and the heat warming customer service. Listen!!! You work hard from Monday to Friday. You have been saving your income for your future. It is time to FINALLY treat yourself with a great meal. And Alfonsino’s makes me feel like having an old friend, patting on my back and telling me “you did a good job this week! Now enjoy this awesome pizza and wash it down with the most suitable wine!”

Omg they have the most yummy pizza and pasta in Darwin. 4 star is just for the food! If you love food then go there but don't expect any customer service or ambiance as they don't have one. They only have outdoor seating with no fan or aircon and service staff aren't very friendly so if you don't care about eating in a hot humid environment without any customer service then you will be fine. Also the price is bit expensive. $17 for small pizza margaritas is too much when cost of plain flour and tomato can is nothing. I eat out often but unfortunately due to the expensive pricing I can't afford their food as often as i would like to.

The pizza is very good, proper crust, tasty flavours and simple ingredients. The thing that makes napolitan pizzas so good is the simplicity in the pizza by its ingredients. This venue has it. The cannoli i ate was with ricotta and chocolate bits. The taste of the ricotta was not as full as i expected, especially in comparison to those you find in Italy. Nevertheless i enjoyed. The coffee was very good. Important to note that this venue uses a manual espresso machine which requires true coffee making skills. Recommend this venue for its great pizzas and atmosphere. Bringing the taste from Italy closer to home.
