Shocking experience. Asked for delivery at 8:30pm. Delivery rings me at 7:30pm saying that they're at my mum's house, where I had asked the delivery to be sent. Asked the delivery driver to bring it to my house. 15 minutes nothing. Rang restaurant, was assured that the meal would be re-done and delivery would be on time for 8:30pm. Delivery shows up at 8:50pm, cold. Rang restaurant again and asked to speak to manager. "Unavailable". I wanted to speak to someone for a refund, they put the phone down and hung up on me. Tried ringing back twice, went straight through to message bank. Thought they might have been screening my calls, so mum rang in my stead. Manager will be calling me tomorrow (Monday 9th July) apparently. Manager did not ring me today. I rang restaurant again, to be told that it is the manager's day off. I asked when he would be ringing me, the customer service officer on the other end just said that he would. I said that if he doesn't ring me by the end of the week, I'll be pursuing it further. The man on the other end tells me in a petulant manner "You can pursue it further right now!" followed by something I didn't quite catch, and then he hung up on me. Customer service at this place is non-existent, doesn't follow up on customer enquiries, and for a small town with more than one option for Indian cuisine,...
Read moreI had a fun experience here; it was my first visit. The door was locked, which is completely fine—no stress with that. I pressed the doorbell; a lady unlocked the gate button and went straight back. It was a screen door, so I didn't see her coming, and after 15 seconds, I realized someone unlocked the door and saw her going back. I felt less welcomed. Please, when you press the gate button, greet the customer and at least say hello. I felt like entering my home when my wife opens the gate after 10 years of marriage, and she is not in the mood to talk but has to open the gate. Also, please play some background music, regardless of whether there is a single customer or 100 others. Please use some fragrance to make it more welcoming and comfortable. Also, allow customers time to settle down for a couple of minutes; do not ask for orders in the first 30 seconds. Rating 3 for the food; it wasn't bad considering the limited options here. I loved the raita and chicken sagwala. Not a bad restaurant to go to once in a while, but as I said, management needs to work on making it more welcoming...
Read moreFood was average, best thing on our order was the salted lassi, rest of food was average.
Service was poor, the wait staff was rude and was talking down at us, it seemed from her attitude when we walked into the restaurant that us being there was like inconvenience to them!! This was for dinner on Saturday night, the restaurant wasn’t set up and she rudely asked us to wait for 15 mins when she sets up, like 15 mins to set up a table for 4? And while we waited she called us in after 2 mins, it almost seemed like she was staying to shoo us away by asking to wait 15 mins.
When serving the entrees she again rudely asks if they can start preparing our mains as they have lots of phone orders to prepare (I was never asked this before when dining out) I also noted she didn’t ask this to other tables.
We were visiting the town and were tourists, left a very bad impression on us. A day prior we dined at another Indian restaurant in the town and the food and the service both were great which we didn’t get from...
