We came as group for a end of year function, well to say the least, we had an incredible experience. Now for the extended review. We started off with a selection of entrees from, spring rolls, dim sims, crumbed prawns, sesame toast, and some yummy pork pastry thing oh and beef skewers, the verdict is all was.... YUMMY!!!!. We then went onto mains, of rice and curry prawns, battered spicy steak, sweet and sour pork, some vegetable and seafood dish and then a chicken and scallop one and fried rice, it all was amazing. The staff were friendly and accomadating.
Disability and agility access- well people with Walker or wheelchairs can get in, only thing is toilets could be a issue as they are narrow.
Cleanliness and presentation-- it appeared clean and presentable, as like most Chinese restaurants I've been too lighting is dim but it was pleasant at the same time.
As a bonus if your down in the city at night they do have a street shop, so if your looking for something quick and yum to eat you can access this from the street and they have some basic but yum selection of food.
Is it kid friendly?.... well like a lot of restaurants theres not a whole lot for kids to do but the Host seemed to have such a great patience about her, that I believe kids would be warmly accepted and catered for. Have fun and enjoy your own unique experience...
Read moreOrder total $80 Make sure you read reviews before ordering! Massive mistake on my part!
ordered: -roasted duck in plumb sauce- good thing the meat is tender, the sauce was alright. -Mongolian beef- sauce is bland and meat was sitting on a bed of red onion that had no purpose which filled up half the container. -Combination fried rice- a few peas added in there which was a nice touch. -chicken fried rice- egg, rice and chicken! Nothing else. Please explain to me how this is FRIED RICE! -sweet corn soup definitely tastes like it’s been previously frozen. The chicken is extremely chewy.
When I questioned why the price was so high I barely got a solid response. She put a whole bunch of numbers in the calculator and then said it passed off as legit. Being so late I didn’t stick around to question it. Simply gob smacked when I got home to find what I did…. well lack there of, in the bag. Never again definitely not...
Read moreI decide to get a take away at Capital Chinese Restaurant and the service I got was discrase full the owner was rude and I felt like I was interrupting her, I asked a few questions about the menu and I got short sharp responses.
After getting my order I went back to my hotel and the entree was fine but the manager talked up the Mongolian Lamb and when I opened it I was disappointed with the food the lamb was bland and tasteless, It tasted below average and NOT what I was expecting, it's sad that the fried rice was the best thing that I had ordered.
Very disappointing not only in the food but also the rudeness of the owner.
They also tried charging me for a small container of soy sauce to go with my wontons, and when I asked for some chilli sauce the owner tried selling me a jar of chilli oil, not what I wanted.
Definitely WON'T BE GOING BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT. DONT BE...
