We had just arrived at the venue and were immediately asked to leave. The bar staff directed us to the booth to add a song for karaoke, but shortly after, Abby, the manager, informed us that we had to leave. We requested to speak with her to understand why we were being removed, but when she arrived, her behavior was dismissive and combative. Instead of addressing the situation calmly, Abby was confrontational and argumentative. She was accompanied by four friends (who didn’t work at the venue), and they too became involved in the altercation, adding to the unprofessionalism. Abby’s tone was aggressive, filled with yelling and name-calling, which escalated the situation unnecessarily. This was all based on what seemed to be a misunderstanding, and yet, she refused to engage in a constructive conversation. Unfortunately, her friends continued to disrupt our evening, even going so far as to threaten us at other venues we visited later on. This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The lack of professionalism from Abby and the venue's poor communication left us feeling unfairly blamed for something that was never our fault. It’s disheartening when a situation is mishandled to this...
Read moreTuesday 03 May night table booked for two on the balcony. On arrival we got moved to the back corner of the balcony as another booking came in. I did find it funny the booking that got sat was the friends of the duty manager. When we arrived the table was being set up for them. When we asked if there was room for us to sit outside the manager "as I previously said, yes " in a conasending tone. When our food arrived it was great, however when still waiting on satay squers the manager thought it would be a good idea to see his female friends first with two sets of food one for us and one for them. When the two females on the table said he's that's the food they ordered, the duty manager said "I can only give you one as the other one is for another table". He was more concerened about talking to them and showing off then than doing his job.
Place has good food and cocktails but management struggles with customer's service...
Read moreI've been here three times with company since the place was redone. All three times, the most memorable aspect about the place was the maître d' (Yugo, or Hugo(?)) Honestly, he absolutely carries this place. His attitude to accommodating us (all three times we have been unintentionally somewhat painful. E.g we arrived 3 mins before the kitchen closed tonight) has been outstanding. Aside from that, the drinks overall are okay. I can tell they're trying, but when you order a Hendricks and tonic, that should be an easy win. Mine did not come with a cucumber; which is odd, especially if it's off the menu. The old fashioned was also just okay. The food however is actually pretty decent and well priced. So overall the place is worth a visit at least once, but when you have a legend at the front door who makes you feel like you're genuinely valued, there's a fair chance you'll keep coming...
