Gelatissimo Toowoomba — Restaurant in Queensland

Dear Gelatissimo Toowoomba,

I am an American working abroad for 6 months. The first 3 months of my time here has been incredible with many nights ending with a stop at your shop. The perfect ending to my day, or even a great pick me up on our longer days. There is one flavor that me and my coworker consider a huge part of our short time in Australia-green apple.

Now, I know it may not be everyone’s first choice, but we have converted many of our local friends to our favorite choice of gelato. So, you will understand how distraught we were the other day when we came in and our favorite flavor had been removed from the case (over mango, seriously!?).

I will rectify my review if you agree to stop holding our favorite flavor hostage. Just until September, then you can do whatever you want with the green apple.

P.S. We tried other shops and their green apple just isn’t as good.

Bad service! My birthday today and we stopped to have some dessert, female staff would not let my son taste a new flavour to see if he liked it- before ordering, since when did ice cream parlors not allow tasting of ice cream?? because if this, he did not order an ice cream. My son told us this when we got home, my husband said if he knew this was the case, he would of never ordered an ice cream.

We are locals and love Gelato, but if you are going to continue with bad service? Then we will not return, we will go elsewhere!!!

Maybe some helpful customer service , good training of staff will bring back your locals as you need all the support you can get. There is nothing wrong with wanting to taste a new flavor before purchasing a full ice cream as you have allowed this in the past like every other ice cream parlor. We probably will not be returning because of this, and will travel elsewhere to get...

Gelato is my favourite chilled treat, and Gelatissimo certainly provides. A great selection of flavours, with the regulars that don't change and those that get swapped out for the people who like to try new things, it's more pricey than a McDonald's McFlurry but the quality of the product is worth it by far.

Tonight's experience was lovely with the lady who served most our group (sorry I didn't catch your name!) being extremely helpful, kind, and generous with her samples as well as her scoops. The small store can get crowded as multiple parties try to pick and choose but outdoor seating means that once you've gotten your gelato you can sit down and enjoy.
