Muller Bros — Restaurant in Toowoomba City

5 stars for Muller Bros is entirely down the restaurant section. The staff provided fantastic, friendly, fun service. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. The food (we had the churrasco) was so delicious. All the meat that came to our table was perfectly cooked and so succulent. The pineapple was a highlight for me...so juicy. And the chimmichurri we ordered on the side was delicious. We can't wait to go again.

The rooftop bar area was a huge let-down. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day, and the bar themselves had posted on FB earlier that day that "Spring had come early!" ...so we were really looking forward to some relaxed Sunday afternoon drinks before dinner, appreciating the beautiful weather. Instead, the roof was closed and all the cafe blinds were down. The smokers section at the end of the deck has prime position as it is a narrow strip on the other side of the cafe blinds and the roof there was open. There was a DJ mixing music that really felt more suited to a Saturday night rather than a Sunday afternoon/evening. The crowd was quite relaxed, even a couple of families with kids, so the music really wasn't suited to the atmosphere (no criticism of the DJ himself). The bartender was more interested in serving the young group of girls, going to serve one of them as soon as she walked up beside us (a couple), even though we'd been standing there for a while. She pointed out we were first so we ordered a cocktail each, and rather than making the cocktails he went straight back to serving the girl next to us. 10 mins later the bartender was out watching the group of girls when he panned across to us staring at him. When he realized he sprinted back to the back and made our drinks. The best part about our rooftop experience at Muller Bros were the cocktails, they were tasty!

Not even the issues with the rooftop bar could bring my review down a star though, cos that restaurant was just so damn good. We are excited to go back there again, and it will be the first place we think of for a special occasion or when friends visit....we would just find a different bar to have...

We returned here recently on a Saturday night for a late sitting and I must say we were very underwhelmed. The staff were very attentive same as other times,the venue was very clean and tidy as normal. The place was by no means busy I only counted about 22 people and there is a lot more capacity than I would say 60 downstairs alone. Our side dishes arrived very shortly after we ordered the the Brazilian Meat Taster plates and drinks were very quickly ordered and delivered, so far soo good. We then waited at least 15 to 20 minutes for the plates of meats to arrive. The side dishes were a table spoon of coleslaw and three very small pieces of roasted potatoes, by the time the meat arrived were tepid at best. The meat tasted extreamly good, however it was at best warm the beef and lamb I would say were close to cold and the chicken warm. The best part of the meat plate was the pineapple which was also warm. Very very different experience from our last visit here just before the dreaded Covid lockdowns. Maybe we got there on a bad night but we would be very hesitant to return in...

Top quality produce, but very far away from an all you can eat currasco experience. Minimal staff walk around offering a single small slice of meat. If you ask for more you are promptly told no until they have walked around the rest of the restaurant. This token phrase is not followed up on as you sit in your seat bored, hungry and waiting for your next small token offering which takes a long time to come. The menu and website list the offerings which are indeed beautifully cooked but, for example, do not expect garlic prawns, expect a single garlic prawn. This theme continues throughout the evening as your frustration builds and you end up feeling like a disposable commodity in the restraunteurs money making endeavor. I have now been 3 times, hoping each time that things would improve but quite honestly the opposite has been the case. Just to reiterate, the quality is wonderful and the chef talented, but the experience is very, very far away from what is advertised.
