Let's sweet talk about when they first opened? Menu had healthy options and the staff had warm spirit from the time that you first walked in , and the staff were bubbly and they all had a warm spirit. Loved this place went there regularly in fact alot after that. However started to notice the gradual changes of the menu where the popular stuff was being removed and replaced with Korean infused foods and menu was now in English and Korean in saying that no disrespect to the Korean people or their culture . 2023 had not been to sweet talk I. A while wife n I decided to go get breakfast at what had become our breakfast date venue. And Unfortunately Today we left feeling that we will never go back to sweet talk👄 price $89 which we dont mind paying for a good experience and quality food but today food very average, service polite, but no longer vibrant, green Smoothie didn't tasted like bottle juice and ice slushy Menu has changed and now feels like it has more processed foods which is really unhealthy. Saw someone order with hot chips and they have changed the chips from beautiful diamond cut beer battered to chips that look like they from the ekka or The local carnival, and I know that from others testimonials that their original menu chips were very popular. Soyea thYs our shared review not to takeaway credibility but to bopedull influence management to restore what originally wasn't broken. Best businesses stay consistent especially in a placement Toowoomba people...

We came as part of a larger group on the recommendation of others in the group who had visited before. The earlier arrivals organised seats + helped us to put through our food orders, so there was minimal wait time once we arrived 👌

We had: miso mushrooms, $22 - miso mushrooms, house made potato hash, cashew cream, pickled red cabbage, watercress bibimbap, $22 - bulgogi beef, rice, carrot, bean sprouts, spring onion & sesame salad, soy pickled mushroom, fried egg, white sesame, deonjang sauce (And the boy had one of the kids meal options but he sat with the other kids and I didn’t get a photo.)

My bibimbap felt a bit wet overall though the flavours were decent. Wifey's miso mushrooms looked prettier and was nicely balanced in taste. The staff did well to look after our large group.

The cafe seems reasonably popular despite it being a bit hidden - no street frontage and tucked away in the back of Longs Quarter (you can enter from Margaret St by walking through the front building), with some customer parking accessible by Chronicle Lane at the back. Almost an #iykyk type place - and I for one will know for...

Visited Sweet Talk on the weekend and had a strangely mixed experience.

The service was decent, with waitresses being friendly and attentive, albeit somewhat disorganised (different staff arriving minutes apart, trying to take the same order. We also intentionally kept a menu, only to have various people keep trying to take it away). A minor gripe, nothing more.

The main inconsistency was in the food and drinks. My Chai Latte was very milky and flavourless, while my wife loved her Flat White.

Same again with our meals. I wasn't enthused by my Miso Mushrooms, which sat on a disappointing and bland potato hash. As this was a primary feature of the dish, it diminished the other flavours on the plate which, truth be told, we're also hit-and-miss. My wife's Sticky Pork Bowl, in stark contrast, was a winner. Loaded with flavour and very much enjoyed. The one bite I had was well seasoned and tender, and easily trumped anything I had on my plate.

Overall, I would give Sweet Talk another try but would select a different offering. Hopefully that fares better, and sees both my wife and I leaving satisfied the next...

Back street entrance with a nice courtyard area. Inside is light, spacious, an highlights the qualities of the short brick building. The staff were super friendly and personal, so overall a nice feel/vibe to the place. The seating inside is a little harsh - straight edged wooden benches and a couple exposed tables. There looks to be potential for a standing height bench up the back but overall it’s lacking a cosy feel. While the menu was the draw card, the coffee too went down very well. The tough call was eventually the Pesto Eggs. Oh man, the flavours in the pesto and the cherry/vine sized tomatoes was excellent. Alongside bread, very well poached eggs, ’whipped’ feta and fried basil leaves, the dish packed a solid but well balanced punch. I’m calling it bread, not toast though, because it’s texture was still soft/spongey enough to make eating it with a knife a fork quite weird - I dunno bout it. Aside from that, a very positive experience. The quality of the flavours in this meal certainly make the lures of ’Taco’s’’, French Toast’ and ‘Miso mushrooms’ strong enough for a return visit.
