Molly Malone's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Queensland

Had a rather poor parmie here, one of several poor experiences I have had here over the past year or so, 2 years back this was one of my top picks for coming out to dinner with my family, great food, good vibes and good service. However since then the food has declined in quality. My latest meal was a dry, partly overcooked chicken schnitzel with rather cheap and less than stellarly preppared parmie toppings. As well as a nice tasting but tiny side of vegetables and mash potato. It appears that the chef here has changed multiple times over the past year as there have been many variations of their parmie and crumbed steak which have experienced varying levels of mostly sub par quality.

Customer service and vibe is still good.

I am a regular customer of Molly Malones Irish Pub. For years I visit Townsville and I know I can always count on this place. It has a reliably good food (may be not a huge choice some fancy restaurant might have, but what they get on the menu is always good). 3 days a week they have a really great specials (every: Tuesday-crumbed steak for 9.90 with chips and a salad, Wednesday-buy one meal get 2nd free and every Thursday-chicken Schnitzel or Parmigiana (they call it Parma and it is really-really good) served with chips and a salad).They got some great deals on drinks as well. I waited an hour (almost) for food.

I came here two nights ago and ordered a chicken burger. It was a little busy but in my opinion not as bad as it could have been considering the Melbourne Cup was on earlier. I ordered my meal at 7:45pm but unfortunately it did not arrive until 8:43pm. It was very disappointing to wait that long, however I do have to be honest I was also a little disappointed that they didn't quite crack the hour.
