We had a dinner with friends on Saturday 30th March at this Ollie's, assuming that my dietary requirements could be met. One of the waitress said she cannot guarantee that the food is gluten free because this might be contaminated in the kitchen. After this waitress saw us, the waiter came and explained to him that I have a dietary requirements and that I am coeliac. That means my food should not be contaminated with other foods. The waiter said I will talk to the chef about this and he came back he said "it will be fine." I also told him don't put any sauce in my food and when I got my food there was a sauce on it. The Coral Trout fish was like a rubber and had bones. When I spoke with the Chef, he asked if they can change it to something else and I said yes with just a scallop and carrots. The price of the fish & a bit of broccolini was $60, and when the chef changed my meal with 3 scallops and carrots as I requested still the same price. The rude waitress said that we didn't charge you with the scallops but you pay your dinner for $60. The coral trout has been eaten a little bit because it has a bones, like a rubber and with a sauce. The rude waitress said i have not charged for the scallops. How much was the 3 scallops and a bit of carrots do you think? Looks to me the same price as the fish? Two of the people attended got sick too from the food. We went there because you advertised that you have a gluten free menu, but then when we got there not guaranteed that it's not contaminated. This is wrong advertisement! Restaurant should be aware that if you are coeliac food should have a separate meal preparations & cookware. We would not coming back again to your restaurant. All the very best. I would like a response from the Manager...
Read moreThe waitress with the english accent was beyond rude, didn’t even stay to eat. We had just finished a speed boat tour so were wearing our swimmers with pants over top so she informed us of the dress code, to which we completely understood and asked where the nearest restrooms were to change. When we came back she visibly rolled her eyes and greeted us in a very fake manner. After she seated us my friend politely asked if the share plate menu they have advertised is able to be adjusted for any dietary restrictions. Without even checking with the kitchen she begins explaining how they’d have to change the veil dish and that the reason it’s a deal is because it’s those dishes included only, so to just order off the ala carte menu. As she didn’t even attempt to accomodate our request we checked with another staff member who was then caught on his way to check with the kitchen by the waitress. She proceeded to come tell us that he doesn’t know anything and if we have any questions we need to ask her. We then raised our concerns for their lack of flexibility regarding an allergy to which she replied “well I’m a vegetarian so I wouldn’t be able to order that either” and then said “just don’t order things if you can’t eat it”. We are beyond disappointed as we thought this venue was held to a higher standard given the reviews about dietary restrictions being catered to, but the customer service provided on this occasion proved us very wrong. We had a beautiful lunch at Dundee’s instead just down the waterfront, where the service was warm and welcoming....

Ollie’s Italian is hands-down my favourite restaurant, and every visit just reaffirms why. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the warmth and charm that makes you feel instantly at home. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between stylish and inviting, setting the tone for a truly memorable dining experience.
Last night was no exception. I started with the Sorrento Sunset cocktail, and it was superb—refreshing, perfectly balanced, and a beautiful nod to the Amalfi Coast. It set the stage for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal.
Two standout dishes stole the show: the tuna tartare and the salmon crudo. Both were incredibly fresh, delicate, and bursting with flavour—executed with finesse and a light touch that let the quality of the ingredients shine. Every bite was a reminder of how seriously Ollie’s takes its craft.
The service is always impeccable: warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the staff are passionate about what they do, and it elevates the entire experience.
Whether you’re celebrating something special or just craving exceptional Italian food and atmosphere, Ollie’s Italian delivers every single time. A true gem that I can’t recommend...
