McMISO HAPPY.......
glazed egg slab, master stock pork belly, rocket + tonkatsu on a toasted muffin, served with house made hash
Consistency of egg slab....good but so bland it tasted of nothing at all
The "hero" of the dish, the pork, was just so so. Consistent of one slice about 1cm thick and cut just to fit in the muffin. No where near the quantity you expect for the price.
And don't get me started on the hash.2 pieces of rock hard what ever it was the size of a 50c peice. My son was meant to have it on his breakfast...lucky I forgot to order it @$4!
At $26, this was highway robbery Sydney or Melbourne prices.
Wish I has taken photo of my friends KATSU CAESAR ....consisting of 3 leaves of cos lettuce, dry chicken, underpoached eggs and some cheese gratings....that was even funnier. Then when questioning if that's all that is included in the salad...was told "no, tis not a salad."
The juice drinks.. ....not even fresh. Oh well, you live and learn.
McMISO NO SO HAPPY!
Edit....thanks to the owner replying
Yes, there was an orange juice for what amounted to less than 50ml of OJ in a small bottle filled with ice....not very $26 worth. Even your own professional photographer can't dispute that. Written many a positive review when it's warranted, as i love to find new breakfast places in all my travels. Love the fact that people try new and varying dishes. suffice to say, yes the dish did entice me in but thats where it ended, same as the deconstructed cos and the mushroom and stracciatella (i mean it aint that hard to mix up the mushroom)..... As for your assertion that you think I should only pay for the food, well wrong again. How old was the girl in service on Sunday? I always pay and don't dispute but what's the point having a customer email you after the fact? Or matter of fact, what's the point quering you during service and be either embarrassed or embarrassing staff? Your Mcmisso could be a good dish, but value for money it wasn't....especially when it was a store bought muffin. Many a positive yes, but many also saying same.

Read moreA cafe where customer service appears to something of little to no importance. Arrived and was taken to a table and was given menus. This was the extent of the ‘customer service’.
You must place and pay for your order by scanning a QR code, which may for some be good and convenient but also an issue for those with dietary requirements outside of vegan and dairy free. Limited to 20 characters in the comments section).
During our visit it was not overly busy with several tables being vacant.
No table water was offered and it took quite some time for a staff member to come out into the outside area to be able to ask for water (yes, I shouldn’t have to get up and ask for something so simple as table water at a cafe. Giving out water glasses without water doesn’t make sense).
After ordering, it took a good 20 minutes before our drinks arrived to which 2 were wrong and required correction. Coffee was okay but has a bitter/burnt after taste. The ‘gold digger’ cold pressed juice tasted nothing more than an Emma and Tom’s juice put into a glass with ice and as such it’s a bit steep for $8.
The food took a good 45 minutes to arrive and to be honest was quite underwhelming and it was obviously a significant number of the elements on each plate ( we ordered around 5 dishes to share) were precooked and just reheated (microwaved hash cakes and recoooked bacon isn’t the most appetising).
Back to the lack of customer service, the prices charged/paid are quite up there considering there is, in essence, no customer service.

Read moreDefinitely NOT worth the money you spend. We came here for breakfast this morning and ordered Coffees and Breakfast burger on gluten free bun (it was awful).
The breakfast burger came out on Gluten Free Bread (not a bun) and it was toasted way too much and without butter (making it into a crouton). There was not enough flavour in the burger either, the tomato sauce was as very blad. I had to ask the wait staff to replace as the bread wasn’t edible.
The second time around, they didn’t add butter on bread or toast it… It was frozen cold gluten free bread. One of the wait staff came out to say, “I can do it again but it’s going to be always like this”. You can see the bread on the photo.
Absolutely surprised with the poor standards of ingredients, bland tasting food and level of professionalism of the kitchen staff.
The chef and kitchen staff should be made to eat everything on the menu and should take pride in what they put on the table/plate. I am sorry to say, but I had high expectations but the food was awful. Spend the time it takes to carefully test and buy your ingredients from quality suppliers/bakery and don’t get cheap frozen breads to cut corners.
The staff were nice and the coffees were OK (hence 1 star - food 0 star). For a $54 meal, I expect the food to be of a...
