I have been a regular patron at this hotel a few days a week for over 6 months. A great place for a drink or dinner. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, barstaff, gaming staff, doormen and management. They all collectively give the establishment a great vibe and enjoyable environment to chill and relax. The kitchen has been refitted and under new management. The food variety and quality is fantastic. It's disappointing to see the odd reviews customers leave to say they have been treated badly. "You get what you give". Countless times I've seen customers turn up who don't follow general rules for entering any licensed premises. Taking a photo of your driver's license is not a valid form of ID, they get turned away and then leave a bad review against the doormen of the venue. Complaining that you weren't let in because you were told you are intoxicated and using the excuse but I haven't had anything to drink, whilst that may be true, obviously means you are intoxicated by some other substance. The doormen here aren't stupid and I have also seen it with my own eyes. They have a really tough job keeping the establishment safe from risk to both staff and patrons and should be commended for the job they do. If you uave been asked to leave or you have been treated harshly it's with good reason and you should respect the decision, move on and not create a scene. So take it from a customer that spends a lot of time here, ignore the "post-truth world" fake reviews from those who can't be respectful and follow basic rules. This is a great place to hang out with friends. Enter with goodwill and that goodwill will be extended back to you. Carry on like a cupcake, no wonder you were asked to leave...

A friend and I came here tonight. The large, bearded bouncer gave us a bad look straightaway and asked us how much we'd had to drink - based on nothing. It was 6.30 and we'd literally just come from the office.

I don't even drink due to stomach surgery. My friend just wanted to have an after work pint before we went to the movies nextdoor. My friend said we hadn't had anything, and the bouncer just looked at him suspiciously. He then asked for our IDs.

I'm 37 years old. My friend is 35.

The bouncer then took my ID and started looking at it suspiciously, turning it over, looking at the back, taking forever, giving me bad looks. It was pathetic.

I then joked and said, "Don't worry, dude. I was 17 twenty years ago." My friend laughed. The bouncer then handed my ID back and said, "It's okay. You guys can go to a bar down the road" and told us both to F off.

The guy was keen to do whatever it took to turn us out, apparently.

Bouncers are a representation of any establishment. I'd been to this place quite a few times in the past, and the barstaff are really cool.

But when people are just wanting to come to your bar to spend money, hiring aggressive, antisocial bouncers, who turn you away just for the fun of it, it isn't a good look.

Seeing as we did nothing, then I'm guessing he does this often, but don't let him. Do what I wish I did and call the manager over and get the prick to explain it to them instead.

See...

I had a fantastic time at Albion Bar while watching a FIFA Women's World Cup football game. The first thing that caught my attention was the impressive giant screen they had set up for the match, and to my delight, there was no entry fee to enjoy the game there. It was a perfect spot for sports enthusiasts like me!

As for the food and drinks, I couldn't have been happier. I ordered a beer and a steak, both of which were top-notch in quality and taste. The option to order through their website was convenient, and I was pleased to see that my order was promptly delivered to my table without any issues. The ability to customize how I wanted my steak prepared (I chose well done) was a nice touch, ensuring that my dining experience was exactly as I preferred.

If you're looking for a great place to enjoy watching your favorite sports, I highly recommend Albion Bar. With their impressive giant screen, delicious food options, and user-friendly website for ordering, it's a winning choice for any sports fan. Whether it's for football, or any other game, you're guaranteed to have an enjoyable time. Cheers to Albion Bar for providing a memorable sports...

Unfortunately, our visit to Albion Place Hotel was not up to par. We were really looking forward to having a hearty steak with mash and veggies, but to our surprise, the only side options available were fries and salad. This was a major letdown for us. To make matters worse, the prices were insanely high for what we received. The Dirty Double burger was a shock to us when it came out, as the portion size was extremely small and the quality of the food was lacking. The beef patties were a bit dry and there wasn't enough fries or sauce. It's such a shame because the atmosphere and live entertainment at Albion Place Hotel are fantastic. Bonnie Kellet was amazing and definitely the highlight of our visit. All in all, we would not recommend this restaurant for its poor food quality and overpriced menu. We were very disappointed with our experience and will not be returning.
