I was visiting from Melbourne and wanted to try different food in sydney. But visiting this place was the worst decision for this trip. What else you can expect when non-arab are trying to prepare an Arabic dish? A few things to mention about the food and environment Taste was not good, Mandi that was served was not at all mandi. Even simple rice were not the same which were used in mandi so it was tasteless. No salad was available which is served with mandi. We were given cut onions (which were not fresh) and dried carrots Red sauce was not fresh and smelled badly Soup was too salty and of sub-standard
Apart from that, he charged us extra for the combo deal which I highlighted to him and initially he said I donāt know what is in the menu but Iām following my computer. Although drink was covered in the combo deal but he again charged us for the drink. If you really want a good food,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had heard a lot about this place, especially for their Hyderabadi dishes, and was excited to try it. I live in Melbourne and was on vacation in Sydney from the 10th to the 12th of May. Sadly, my experience was terrible.
The lady who seemed to be the owner (approx age 35-40) was extremely rude, arrogant, and toxic. She not only spoke badly to my friend but also mistreated 4ā5 other customers within just 30 minutes. Her attitude was shocking and completely unprofessional.
What was worse was how she treated her staffāyelling at them in front of everyone. It honestly felt like workplace abuse, and I even considered reporting her to WorkSafe Australia.
As a Hyderabadi myself, I felt ashamed watching someone represent our culture in such a bad way. No matter how good the food is, I would never recommend this place. No one should be treated like that.
I would have given her zero stars if that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went for iftar today, this is our 3rd visits to the restaurant. One particular staff was rude and unwelcoming tonight. We initially asked if we can bring some food from outside in addition to ordering their food and they said yes. We ordered 3 trays of their Mandi sets and ate there. The staff kept staring angrily at us because we brought some food from Ramadhan bazaar (1 plates shawarma and a burger) into the restaurant. My mom couldn't eat her iftar because she felt very uncomfortable with the staff staring and whispering at us. Our children didn't make any noise but when one child moving from our desk to the other desk near drinks on sale, the staff grabbed the child's arm roughly and even said 'get out'. We felt very angry and I made a complaint on the spot, then we walk out the restaurant to prevent further conflict. I will not go back and will not recommend the restaurant to...
