I was told by a friend that they always eat here, so we decided to go and grab a bite. we arrived and the place was empty and i tried ordering the negri box off the menu and I was told they don't have it anymore. I asked for another roll from their menu and they told me we don't stock it anymore. after a few more failed picks I chose the Catsu don and my friend the chicken Caragi.
Roughly 20 seconds later i decided I'd rather the fried salmon instead of the chicken and when i clicked the bell our plates came out and I was mind blown that the speed of food that came out and this wasn't a good thing as I immediately knew it's not fresh. I asked if this was reheated and she said yes with a proud smile on her face. I told her I would like them both fresh!. Then I told her to change my chicken for the don to the Salmon. she said ok and tried changing me $17 extra and then decided i shouldn't be paying. the dishes came out and they where not fresh but refried the skin of the salmon and chicken was soggy and salmon like food poisoning on its way. I took my Salmon back and said is this fresh just to see her reaction and she lied to my face. I told her I have a background in the food industry and there's no way that's fresh. I asked if it was retried and she made an excuse by saying they fried it with sweet chilli sauce all over it. I looked at her with disgust that she thought I was like every fool that entered her place of business. I told her it's all good you take it I sat down and looked at my mate and said I would never take your advice about what is good food. I watched him as he disgustingly ate the soggy caragi and then the lady offered me something else I replied, I honestly don't trust anything off your many and that you've insulated the great people of Japan. she asked if i want a refund I usually say no but this time I took it.
I suggest staying away from this horrific restaurant and I wish a food and health inspector would visit this place. Good needs to introduce 0stars. Im sorry they dont receive 1Star but 0stars go...
Read moreOrdered the Tonkotsu Ramen.
The pork was cold. The soup was lukewarm. The onions tasted raw (cause they were raw). The only redeeming ingredients were the spring onions and the tofu strips. The broth was also tasty but left little to be desired when served lukewarm. To add insult to injury the waitstaff gave me several soy sauces and packets of wasabi paste. Neither of which I'd ever put in a Ramen.. ? I was confused there. They were left, wasted on our table. Also, it was overpriced. You can buy an authentic ramen for less than $15 in the CBD (and it doesn't come in a one-use plastic bowl with one-use plastic cutlery). Had high hopes for some authentic Japanese food on a cold and rainy day! Really hope they pull their...
Read moreTried the Wagyu beef don and the spicy seafood udon during our visit. The Wagyu was wonderfully soft and tender, paired perfectly with a fluffy tamago that added a nice balance to the dish.
As for the spicy seafood udon, it lived up to its name with the heat, as indicated by the two chili padi symbols on the menu. The seafood portion was generous, with clams, two prawns, some baby shrimp, and even a couple of small squid. The clams, in particular, were plentiful. However, I found the cabbage too hard and the carrots a bit too raw for my liking. Despite that, the udon soup itself was...
