Avondale Hotel Burwood — Restaurant in Sydney

We went there at around midnight to have a drink and 3 of us order an pint each that cost us around $30 and one of my friend to wash face in washroom and as he was washing his face, the security thought he was too toxic which doesn’t even make sense, and we were kick out of this pub, we didn’t even have a sip of drink, and the security was claiming that our glass was empty, event thought we just been there, and we asked for refund or either take away of that beer, they refused to give us and when we were talking to the security owner came and the owner took to support pf security without even listening to our point, such a disgrace, they are judging that you are drunk without even having a sip of drink. I am a regular customer of this pub, but i ain’t coming back again. If they think we were drunk why would they let us in and serve us a drink, I am not coming back again to this...

A popular pub hotel opposite Burwood Station. A nice place to have a drink or a meal as it is separated from gaming room with the former at upstairs and the lattet at ground level (with lift access).

The hotel is recently renovated with quite good interior decoration, nice seating, floor to ceiling glass, local street view, noise free and particularly decent pub food with specia price of $13.8 for steak ( very generous cut and choice of several sauce), chicken, fish and others all served with fresh salad and chips 7 days a week and all day.

Not sure whether the food doesn't taste as good as better due to changes of owner or chef. Tonight we ordered two midium well cooked rump steak. After that, one of them was served well done cooked and it tastes so chewy, burn, n bitter. The other one was not cooked properly with a part raw. They also put the steak on the top of fries, which makes the fries absorb all the oil or water whatever n stick together... The salad at the side was not fresh as well... The food tonight was really disappointing n disgusting... The only stuff we could finished was merely...
