Bangkok on Walker in North Sydney is a hidden jem for Thai food lovers. I recently visited this cozy restuarant and had an wonderful experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with traditional Thai decor that sets the stage for a delcious meal.
I started with the wonton chicken soup, which was nothing short of spectacular. The broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly seasoned without being too salty. The wontons were stuffed generously with tender chicken, and the freshness of the ingridents really shined through. It's clear that a lot of care goes into prepearing each dish.
For the main course, I opted for the Pad Thai, a clasic Thai dish that's always a good measure of a restuarant's authenticity. The noodles were cooked to perfection, not too soft or too firm, and coated in a tangy, slightly sweet sauce that was absolutly mouthwatering. The dish was topped with crunchy peanuts, fresh bean sprouts, and a wedge of lime that added a zesty kick. The balance of flavors was spot on, making it one of the best Pad Thais I've had in a long time.
The service was another highlight of my visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and attenttive, ensuring that I had everything I needed without being overbearing. Their warm demeanor added to the overall pleasent dining experience.
Bangkok on Walker is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Thai food in North Sydney. Whether you're a fan of soups, stir-fries, or noodles, this place has something for everyones taste. I left feeling both satisfied and eager to return to try more of their menue. Highly...
Read moreI got take-away lunch from the hot bain-marie options in this popular Thai restaurant (sister to Sixnature Thai, close to VC Metro Station). Their options are quite extensive with mostly chicken as main protein, but have a few other options like beef, fish and tofu. I got the same favorite I got from Sixnature Thai, i.e. the salt & pepper fried fish fillets and fried chicken with chilli jam sauce on top of fried rice. They're quite good and filling for $14.50 small box and it is best value lunch option you can get around North Sydney CBD area (along with same offerings at Sixnature Thai). I like this restaurant compared to its sister Thai restaurant since it has bigger space for dining-in.
Customer services are reasonable and you can pay with credit cards with additional 1.5% surcharge. Menu items are quite extensive and prices are reasonably competitive. The place ambience is better than its sister Sixnature Thai since it has bigger space and not so crowded during...
Read moreWorst take out order ever. Don't order here this is very bad value. I did not order 80% of the container as rice!!!! RIP OFF!!!! I paid $40 for two main takeaway dishes (cashew nut and chicken and pork belly and broccoli) which did not include rice on the menu description. I was alarmed to received the order with 80% of the container filled with rice and very little meat or veg. The broccoli was only stems and no florets. This is an incredible rip off and very disappointed! Will never order here again as they think a container of 80% rice is acceptable when rice is not included in the description. If i want rice included I would have order the other option that specifically included rice. This was a deliberate, sneaky and unethical ploy to rip off. I will post pictures as what was provided...
