Beach Burrito Co. Dee Why — Restaurant in Sydney

Food is usually good (that's why I gave a 4 for the food), but I'm giving an overall two because I'm disappointed with the service and I've already had an experience that didn't meet the expectation in the recent past. As I pointed the food is usually good, but for two times, I had burrito with too much fat (I mean less beef and it happened when ordering beef burrito). But the service was better in the past. I think it's the second or third time that the order is not according to what was asked (I don´t know if they changed the menu as well and staff may be confused). The reason I'm frustrated today is because we asked a burrito in a bowl for my partner and it didn´t come in a bowl. Because of food restrictions, we asked to remove many of the sauces from the OG chicken and left only chicken chipotle. However besides not coming in a bowl it came with mayo and there was another option in the menu which is chipotle with mayo (I know chipotle is made with mayo but I'm saying it came with pure mayo as a topping and it was not specified in the menu of what was ordered). My partner tried to understand what happened but the only thing they replied was that mayo was not homemade (we didn't ask for mayo). I was disappointed because to me they could have shown more care for the customer (I don't even know if the person who replied knew exactly what we have ordered). Long story short, I told my partner not to eat if there's restriction and we just left because I can't accept a member of my family eating something they didn't order. It may not reflect experience of other people but I hope with my feedback can be helpful. It's unfortunate because I've been there for many times and enjoyed the food there. Have come here numerous times over the past few years but sadly it keeps going downhill. Went last night with young family and it was terrible.

Prices have increased massively (which is happening everywhere I guess BUT food portions have also decreased a huge amount. If youre going to increase the prices at least keep the meal sizes the same, not halved. My son loves the kids taco kit which usually has 2 chicken tenders to put in a wrap, last night his meal had only half of one tender. We ended up having to buy him 2 kids meals to actually have anything for him to eat.

Drink prices have increased and are now being served in much smaller glasses, and the food quality has sadly plummeted too. I got a burrito which was a sloppy mush and couldn't even be held.

Probably the worst part of our visit was seeing that dogs are now allowed inside the restaurant. The tables are squashed together tightly to fit in as many people as possible and we ended up with 2 massive dogs on either side of us, aswell as others throughout the restaurant. My small kids were scared of the massive dogs that were sitting and walking over the seats and drooling all over the tables. It was disgusting and the servers turned a blind eye to it, which was their general attitude for the evening.

Awful service! Staff was chitchatting between themselves and nibbling on the food behind counter and of course ignoring customers.

Finally we ordered food and we paid for it at bar…it wasn’t busy in the main court was just us - 3 adults 4 kids and another family of 3. They ordered after us. When they received food we complained that we’re waiting 30 min and order is not coming. At this point we realized they lost our order, which was paid for, so we cancelled order but manager insisted to stay and took order again. And again they prepared just half of the order…they where so distracted, kids were going crazy after 45 min waiting for lunch… We cancelled service again but manager insisted to stay and he said he’ll give us refund… but they gave us refund just for half of the order.. And again manager pleased us to stay and wait for rest of the order…and when i asked for complete refund waitress was so rude telling me why I’m asking for refund? They will never see our families and friends again. Its time to close this business and let someone else to come, I think any other cuisines will do much better and will be much more popular than these...
