Ordered Stella Blu from Uber last night (we regularly order takeaway from them, but also regularly dine-in at both Glenrose and Dee Why) Yep it's partially Uber's fault for delivering it late and everything was absolutely stone cold. But honestly the food itself, minus the stone cold factor, was super average. The chips were yesterday's chips... they were hard and stale tasting, the pizza's were dry and my eggplant dish was a few slices of Eggplant in a jar full of Dolmio (that's what it felt like) $120 for an incredibly average meal. We threw the chips away and suffered through the rest. Super disappointing. I do believe eating at the restaurant means the food is fresher so maybe Stella Blu is best as an eat-in establishment. I will not be ordering takeaway from them again.
Edit: In regards to your response below, yes I accidentally left my review for the Glenrose Stella Blu when it should have been for Dee Why. Was just correcting my mistake. I have eaten at both Stella Blu's over the years so this review still applies. At the end of the day you still got paid, while we got a below average meal. I have also contacted Uber... unfortunately they don't care about cold food so I lose either way. No apology from anyone. Have...
Read moreWould have been 5* if it wasn’t for a few comments made by the woman managing the tables. We had booked for our anniversary (Which was during the week), when we arrived on the Friday we hadn’t specified in the notes that we wanted outside so were seated inside and decided we weren’t comfortable with that given current covid cases and also the atmosphere really wasn’t as nice during summer so made the decision then to change the booking to the Saturday given it was for a special occasion (of course our fault for not noting but also when booking online there wasn’t an option of outside v inside which may help with this in the future) the Saturday when we got there this same woman was there and first thing she said to us was oh lucky that you were able to change your anniversary and winked at us, implying it wasn’t our anniversary which was a bit strange and unprofessional and definitely put a downer on the night before even starting. Luckily she wasn’t the person that served us we were served by a lovely gentleman very attentive and the food was fantastic for all courses as were the drinks that we thoroughly enjoyed so still managed to enjoy our anniversary so largely thank...
Read moreMy wife and I had the rudest waiter serve us today. We've been here several times before but popped in for a quick breakfast today. We decided to simply share some toast and a breakfast with a couple of coffees as neither of us where hungry enough to have a full breakfast. The elderly male waiter was unbelievably rude and made a point after they bought the food out that it was not acceptable to him that we did not order two of the breakfasts. Commenting under his breath that on a weekend this was unacceptable and proceeding to angrily take one set of cutlery from the table I certainly would have had no problem ordering and paying for two breakfasts and if he had informed us that this was the policy when we ordered then this would have been a professional response. Instead of his childish attempt to cause embarrassment after the food arrived. Incredible behaviour, given we where in and out in less than 10 minutes in a place with plenty of empty tables its certainly not a place I would return to or recommend...
