Have Ordered from big daddy’s Newtown before and loved they’re chilli cheese fries and big daddy combo, and not to mention A&E Root Beer! 🍟 🥤
So one afternoon some mates and I decide to grab a feed delivered from big daddy’s! Impressed with the growth of the company and wanting to spread my wings a little! I thought I’d give big daddy’s Redfern a go! Eager to get my chilli cheese fix 🧀 we ordered away noticing the $2 hike on the already expensive chilli cheese fries add on $7 extra on top of an already inflated combo price! Alas, we ordered away! 1 hour and 20 minutes later! BUZZ!!! A message saying our order has been completed. Now at this point it’s not really big daddy’s fault we never got our food delivered! However I called the store to tell them what had happened and that we would be ordering again, and to get another order started. Reluctantly the young girl on the phone proclaimed it wasn’t they’re responsibility and to call Uber eats. I said one last time, we’ll be ordering again tonight, please put one on! After dealing with Ubereats we go to order and as we press confirm order with our fingers crossed the store closes! I proceeded to call the store my heart pounding hoping they’ve prepared an order for one of they’re valued customers. Unfortunately I was informed that it wasn’t her or bigDaddys responsibility to ensure customers satisfaction or to assist us with our order and even though we had spoken before about arranging another order, which big daddy’s would have been paid for! So the shop lost out on potential business and defiantly lost a loyal customer along the way. Finally I was told that big daddy’s doesn’t value it’s customers and bad luck! At this point I ended the call.

Read moreI just came back from ordering two meals from Big Daddy's - Redfern. Service occurred around 1:00 pm, when I arrived I noticed COVID rules, QR code sign in, and a maximum capacity of 2 people notice all displayed, my partner and I were the only 2 people in the store, soon 3 more people entered the shop, and I was surprised that the girl at the register allowed it. Anyway, I placed my order and waited outside for it, I received my order and walked back home - just to realise that I received the wrong order, so I walked back to the store, where I told the customer service representative that my order was incorrect, she argued saying that my order was correct, after checking the food, she realised she made a mistake and changed my order, saying sorry and constantly asking me 'what do you want me to do?' as if the customer has to give training on customer service. I felt completely mistreated by the situation and I asked for her name in order to write this review which she refused to give. Today 23 September, 2021 at 1:00pm the customer service rep that was working here has no idea of what customer service management is, and I am disappointed in the HR management team at Big Daddy's for not providing training of this kind to their employees, and hiring people that have no idea how to treat customers. Read moreI tried to ring about what's inside your stuffed chilli's, language barrier got me the answer of "burgers and fries" when I asked again: I want to know about your stuffed chillis. I got the answer "yes we have chilli sauce"
Language barrier needs to be addressed before suggesting we order ahead of time because I was unable to even order what I wanted.
Couldn't even get to order the food due to the language barrier and won't be attempting again after spending the day trying to contact them unsuccessfully via their social media pages and phone number.
Edit: I know I said I wouldn't be trying again but for an entire week I have been attempting to find out the ingredients for just one single item off the menu.
Went in-store and got told the item doesn't exist, pointed to it on the menu and the server looked absolutely shocked at its existence (it's near the very top of the menu) I've tried to call multiple times with persistent language barrier issues, I've messaged social media with no replies, I've left public posts which have been ignored...
I definitely would suggest nobody use these guys if you have allergies because there's no nutritional information anywhere, and even going in-store you cannot ask about it without language barrier presenting an impassable server who said that there is absolutely no manager on duty...
