Not recommended at all. We arrived starving at 7:00pm, but the experience was frustrating from the start. There weren’t enough staff, and the tables weren’t being cleaned properly. We placed our order right away.
By around 7:30, a few other tables (2–3) arrived — and somehow, they started getting their food by 7:50. Even the table next to us, who ordered the exact same dish, was served before us. One by one, all the later arrivals received their meals, while we were still waiting. Finally, our food didn’t arrive until 8:00pm. We felt completely unfair.
As for the food — the noodles were just average. The crispy pork was tasty, but the steamed fish was disappointing : not fresh and very dry. The salad was overly wet. The seafood soup smelled great and was packed with ingredients, but it was...
Read moreWe've been eating here for years and always loved their food -especially the duck spring rolls. But lately there have been issues with inconsistency. 8 times out of 10 the food is still amazing, but occasionally (especially if the owner isn't there) we're disappointed by what had become our favourite dishes.

Finally at around 5:45 the owner called to say the food would be 10 minutes (which is what they always say and is always a lie). We had our food at about 6:15 and while most dishes were good the duck spring rolls were lacking their usual spices and veggies that make them outstanding....
Read moreKhao Yum is possibly one of the worst “restaurants” I have ever been to. Not only was there plastic in my food, but when I told the waitress she proceeded to grab the piece from my hands, inspect it and claim that it wasn’t plastic. When I insisted that it was in fact plastic, she rolled her eyes and took it with her. The chef then came out and said that it wasn’t plastic. He had a fish in his hands and indicated to the fish, apparently the rectangular piece of plastic that tasted like plastic, was somehow part of the deep fried fish. When I insisted that it wasn’t, he grinned and said sorry but it’s fish. There was no apology. I had to pay for my food. I obviously didn’t eat the rest of my food because I’d already swallowed plastic ans was afraid that there would be more. Simply...
