Blackseed Eatery — Restaurant in Sydney

Just okay - I asked for the eggs benedict but asked for spinach instead of ham or smoked salmon (I don’t eat either of those). The staff seemed a bit inexperienced and confused about how to put that through, but worked it out (and I appreciate that there was flexibility with the menu). The breakfast was quite nice, but what ruined it a bit for me was that the poached eggs had been put on the plate (next to the bread) really wet, so everything was swilling around on the plate a bit, and the toast was soggy. On a side note: I also didn’t expect that swapping ham or smoked salmon for spinach would result in the dish costing more! This is strange to me considering spinach is a much cheaper ingredient than ham or smoked salmon. I definitely didn’t want any reduction in the price of the dish... I just don’t really understand why it became more expensive. It’s like I was charged for the eggs benny plus a side of spinach. Very odd. Visited Blackseed at Parramatta today. Ordered from menu as a table order however was charged additional $3 at checkout. I challenged the waiter and was informed the pricing was for table orders and a price increase had occurred since 1 January. I asked would they honor the old pricing from the menu but was advised no. Waiter slammed the menu down on cabinet and advised pricing would not be adjusted till Manager returned from holidays. The waiter then requested the removal of all old menus from the tables. Not even worth the one star. Poor...

Horrible service. It cost me $8.90 for a burnt coffee and then after the surprise 13c surcharge it was $9.03. I left having not finished my coffee as I was feeling so sick from the burnt taste. The servers were so rude to me and my client. Overall don't bother coming, way better value for money literally anywhere else.

Edit: I have spent the rest of the day on the toliet with it coming out both ends due to this drink containing dairy which I am highly intolerant too.
