Bruce Tea & Coffee — Restaurant in Sydney

Think I found one of my new favourite cafes, with yummy food and a killer matcha!!

Ordered ubereats because I wasn’t sure if there was seating but there was indoor area and lots of outdoor seating with free wifi too! The staff quickly set me up with a seating arrangement so I could work and eat comfortably (most productive afternoon I’ve had in a while). Even kept my cookie warm and brought it out after I finished my sandwich - the level of thought and attentiveness was incredible. Only wish their opening hours were longer!!

Chicken sandwich was simple and delicious, cookie was not too sweet and loved the salt on top. Star was definitely the matcha - smooth and good balance of sweet vs bitter

Will definitely be back and soon to be a regular ;)...

Tony is serious about delivering a perfect cup every time. He brews an excellent selection of teas, and pays attention to every detail with his coffee. Beans are sourced from a few stalwarts along with some up and coming roasters including Mecca, Proud Mary and Stitch. If you drink your coffee on soy there's a special bean on for you, and Tony swears you won't taste the difference between his decaf pourover and the caffeinated version. Batch brews are on for those in a hurry, and there's a good selection of pastries to complement the coffees. Bruce is hands down the best coffee in Glebe and I would say as good as the best in Sydney. Definitely worth a trip for any coffee enthusiast and for your convenience he's only 1 minute from the Glebe...

This is the Inner West’s best kept secret cafe. The coffee is outstanding, with either single origin or a house blend on offer. I had a long black with their house blend, and it was so good I got a takeaway flat white—both were perfect, letting the subtleties of the roast come through. A beautiful tea selection and attractive bites are on offer as well. This would be my go-to cafe, if I lived closer, as the level of consistent high quality is one I wish all cafes could achieve (as, I visited Bruce many years ago, and remember being impressed with the coffee then).
