Hansang Korean Restaurant in Strathfield has undoubtedly become a favorite dining spot for me, and I am thrilled to share my positive experience with a glowing 5/5 rating. The restaurant excels in delivering not only good food but an overall dining experience that leaves a lasting impression.
The standout dish that stole the show for me was the pork dumplings. These delectable morsels were a symphony of flavors – perfectly seasoned pork encased in a thin, expertly crafted dumpling skin. The combination of texture and taste was simply divine, making it an absolute must-try for anyone visiting Hansang.
Another highlight of the menu that deserves special mention is the hotpot. The variety and quality of ingredients, coupled with the rich and flavorful broth, elevate the dining experience to a new level. The hotpot at Hansang is a communal delight, bringing people together to savor the warmth and complexity of Korean cuisine.
Beyond the exceptional dishes, the ambiance of the restaurant adds to its charm. The welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, and tasteful decor create a comfortable setting for a memorable dining experience. Whether it's a casual meal with friends or a more intimate gathering, Hansang strikes the perfect balance between a cozy environment and the excitement of exploring Korean culinary delights.
The attention to detail in the presentation of each dish reflects the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence. The menu caters to a variety of preferences, making it an excellent choice for both Korean cuisine enthusiasts and those new to its flavors.
In conclusion, Hansang Korean Restaurant in Strathfield is a culinary gem, delivering not only good food but an overall dining experience that surpasses expectations. The pork dumplings and hotpot are standout dishes that showcase the restaurant's commitment to quality and flavor. I wholeheartedly recommend Hansang to anyone seeking an authentic and delightful Korean...
Read moreFood is TASTY however, Management isn’t PRO, Staffs need to be trained properly. We are recommended to visit Hansang at Strathfield and we were there to try ‘the taste of Korea’. After spending around an hour in the restaurant; we experienced both good and bad feelings. The good thing bout the restaurant is it has huge space, perfect for family and friends dine in, can be arranged dinner party at premises, verities of side dishes are provided with main dishes. Our order was served on time and the food was tasty. No doubt, compare to other Korean restaurants at Strathfield area Hansang’s food is decent. However, apart from food, if I talk bout the service and hospitality of the restaurant; I was really disappointed and felt uncomfortable. The reasons are; We were provided one menu book while we were two persons and we had been waiting to get another menu book until we asked for it. Our order was taken on a piece of docket of the restaurant which isn’t professional at all. None of the staffs were looking happily working or serving. Not enough staffs to serve customers for a busy Saturday night which may lead them to stressing out. The manager at counter kept busy on her phone, walking around in front of customers on phone, pointing out her front staffs in front of customers which is really uncomfortable for both your staffs and customers. The male manager/owner of the restaurant was staring at chef’s prep, pointing out with rude gesture, walking all over inside of the kitchen with not proper uniform, handling kitchen utensils with barehanded and so on which cause to hygiene issue to me and my friend. Above all, the management must know that staffs are the assets of the business more than employees. I hope the management and the front staffs become more professional as the restaurant has potential to become one of the best Korean Restaurants in Sydney. Hope next time if we visit Hansang; we would have excellent experiences. Till then...
Read moreAs a Korean-American from Los Angeles, I'm no stranger to Korean food. When I moved to Sydney, I heard all about Strathfield and was excited that this seemed to be the closest thing to Koreatown back in LA. I came out here on a Tuesday for lunch after seeing raves about Hansang all over TikTok, but I was mostly let down by the food quality. For my first time in Strathfield, it didn't leave an impression on me and left me wanting ... better Korean food. I got the seafood tofu stew and was extremely disappointed by the flavors in it. The picture on the menu, which was loaded with seafood, looked nothing like the reality of the stew-- which honestly wouldn't have been a problem if the flavors didn't feel so off to me. Upon first spoonful, you just get hit with the taste of garlic (which is odd to me because I love tofu stew but never notice the garlic flavor of the ones I get back in LA's Koreatown). Flavors were forgettable and the soup was simply bland with a side of garlic. If you're used to BCD Tofu House quality stew, forget it. You're better off ordering something else from the menu-- although my friend also remarked her soup was nothing special either.
I wouldn't have left a review like this if it weren't for the prices. As soon as I opened the menu, I noticed that a lot of the stew/soup/dishes were similar prices. That might not seem odd to some, but as someone that grew up around authentic Korean food, I can tell you you're being scammed. There is no world in which you should be paying $20+ for a kimchi pancake (even in AUD). Now tell me why a kimchi pancake is pretty much the same price as 설렁탕? Charging for extra side dishes, too? Crazy.
Take your money elsewhere. I refuse to believe this is the most authentic Korean food you will find in Sydney's...
