The Dunkirk Hotel is a decent place to stay with some upsides and downsides. Starting with the positives, the rooms are pretty nice and well-maintained. Guests can expect a clean and comfortable stay. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating, which can make a significant difference in the overall experience. The location of The Dunkirk Hotel is also convenient for travelers looking to explore the area. It's in a central location and offers easy access to various tourist attractions and restaurants. This is especially convenient for those who are visiting the city for the first time and need easy access to transportation. However, one major downside to The Dunkirk Hotel is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. This can be a significant issue during hot summer months, and guests may find themselves uncomfortable or unable to sleep well. While some guests may be able to tolerate the heat, it's something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to temperature or prefer cooler sleeping conditions. In summary, The Dunkirk Hotel has its pros and cons. The rooms are nice and well-maintained, the staff is friendly, and the location is convenient for those who want to explore the area. However, the lack of air conditioning may be a significant issue for some guests, especially during the summer months. Ultimately, it's up to each individual guest to decide whether the upsides of The Dunkirk Hotel outweigh the downside of no air conditioning.

Please DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL just judging off the pictures shown on their websites. Real life is a far cry from what is expected. We spent the night sleeping in an infestation of COCKROACHES as well as the windows being unable to close (not because of their lack in function but because if we closed them a PUTRID and STUFFY SMELL coming from the carpets would circulate instead). There was MOULD in almost every corner. And as soon as we came in, there was already a CLUMP OF HAIR already decorating the bathroom wall. The whole place just made us feel ITCHY and GROSS. Thank goodness the only thing decent we’re the beds. Overall a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE stay. We contacted the hotel regarding this issue and ever since that call NO action has been placed. Blaming their issues with the cleaning company we were expected to just carry on. Please take a look at the pictures I took of inside my family room.

What a happy, cosy little place! I stopped in here for lunch on the 8th of August, after arriving in Sydney, and to pass the time while I wait for check-in at my hotel. I was greeted by a friendly, smiley, pretty young woman behind the bar, who served me very professionally, and like she knew her stuff. They had lunchtime specials at the time -$18 for steak, chips, and salad, yes please! The wait for food wasn't long - medium rare rump - and it was goooood! Cooked perfectly, tasty salad, and whatever the seasoning on the chips was, was *chef's kiss*. The beer was icy - thumbs up for having Great Northern on tap for this Queenslander - the atmosphere relaxing and quiet, and just a nice little place for a meal, to get a little work done, and to enjoy a cold beer after a bit of travel. Recommend, and hope to stop in again!

又不便宜,又不安全。冬天好冷,餐点吵死人,外国人少住。For the price you would be better off staying at the many other options in the area. the noise especially is AWFUL. ||i paid so much and i do not even feel safe going downstairs. got harassed by their drunk patron when i went down to eat...while they spent 30min preparing a single lasagna..... even though theres a restaurant right below the rooms, they have their own events so it can be crowded and noisy to eat at, which negates the convinience. You can hear traffic through the walls on top of the drunken singing every single night. if you're lucky, you can even hear the noise from the rooms beside you. earplugs dont do anything because you can feel the vibrations through the floor.||Not great for a single asian woman to stay. Facilities are clean but the radiator and bathroom heating are difficult to figure out. i bought my own multiplug to even make the radiator work. it will auto shut off if you set it to the highest setting, but anything lower and you cannot feel any heat. dustbin is very small, i went to buy my own plastic bags. they don't provide indoor slippers. And the door to the second floor where the rooms are isnt locked so it feels unsafe. Area is quiet at night and feels unsafe. i dont really see any foreigners visit this place. appreciate the fridge and wifi though.||theres no elevator. the staff will help you carry the bags up when you check in, but when you check out at 10am, theres no one to help you carry it back down. certainly no daily cleaning of the room.||i came here for SMASH! convention and this location isnt even that close to the ICC. ||only pros: Woolsworth metro supermarket nearby. the shared bathrooms are very clean and right outside...
